I wonder why Michael Snellings House is boarded up Today-Does it have such a stigma attached to it. It is an ok area and we know he lived there until 2012-Returning there again in 2015 for a year. House boarded up in 2014.

less than a week after Claudia dissapeared-Pete Ruane said the following to the Dail Mail:

“Where she is now, it’s not out of choice. She just wouldn’t let work down and wouldn’t let people down. Without a shadow of doubt she would ring home”

Thanks for this. To me, this seems the most honest account, before being obscured by the supposed complexity of Claudia's private life.

That ‘complexity’ was probably the emergence of that dvd which was probably a one off indiscretion ( drunken ?)captured on someone’s phone.
For obvious reasons people did not want it to come out.
Her new boyfriend would know nothing about it but it must have muddied the water a bit for the police and others

What does Ruanes statement have to do with a DVD

This comment has always perplexed me. Perhaps it's just clumsy wording but it sounds odd. 'Wherever she is' would seem more natural. 'Where she is' sounds like he knows the location.

Sorry I’m useless at this thing .I tend to post on the thread by pressing ‘reply ‘ it’s not fair on you and the others .I promise I shall go to ‘more options’ in the future unless it’s a genuine reply .
Yes I did read the article from your link and years ago too.
I think Peter Ruane ‘statement was genuine simply stressing that cl would not disappear on her own accord. There is nothing else to read in his statement.

In the early days people had to be very careful with what they say 7 days into this story was definitely a ‘missing ‘ case.
Perhaps he thought / wishing she had gone into hiding because she had no choice

I did read something regarding a video doing the rounds, featuring some of the nags head patrons!!!!

Interesting early perspective:
Friends described Miss Lawrence as quietly spoken, happy and sociable. She has previously had boyfriends but is not in a current relationship.

There are good reporters as well as bad ones
No I think as @Nikynoo said earlier, this was possibly the friend's perception at this time and they weren't bring disingenuous, as others were later on when more facts were uncovered. IMO.

what does this mean?
