I was reading that mr Lawrence lived two miles away from Claudia.
He offered the use of his car .
How far did he live from his works?
He would not give his car to her if he needed it to go to work.
Where did Claudia go with Peter’s car ?
Because he did lend her his car a couple of times.
Did she have any passengers in his car !
Was the left handed smoker ever in Peter Lawrence ‘s car too !?
Did he lend her his car weekends only ?
Did she drive him to the airport and which airport when he went on holiday?
And then kept it for the duration of the holiday?
@Popejohn3 How would any of Sleuths know this detail???

I thought I said that? Newby wasn't much of a friend IMO.

I was wondering how good a friend the colleague was, considering that he was te only one who suggested a new boyfriend?
Correct @Nikynoo I was correcting @Popejohn3

Yes and based upon the reveal being a year later and No Claudia turning up to challenge the reveal, how true was it?

I was reading that mr Lawrence lived two miles away from Claudia. - Incorrect from the information I have
He offered the use of his car .I believe some new articles indicate this to be correct.
How far did he live from his works? I believe he worked from home at the time Claudia went missing.
He would not give his car to her if he needed it to go to work.I would assume this is correct if he had client meetings that were not at his office.
Where did Claudia go with Peter’s car ?why is this relevant?
Because he did lend her his car a couple of times.yes
Did she have any passengers in his car !possibly
Was the left handed smoker ever in Peter Lawrence ‘s car too !?possibly
Did he lend her his car weekends only ?possibly
Did she drive him to the airport and which airport when he went on holiday?possibly
And then kept it for the duration of the holiday?possibly

My answers in blue.

I am not sure how long Claudia was without a car, but I suppose it is possible that she borrowed a more reliable car if she wanted to go some distance?

Is it possible that she was single and only said this to him as he was showing an interest in her that she wasn't reciprocating?

@Nikynoo Her mum stated in a press article that Claudia's car had been in for repair 3 weeks before she went missing.

Good thinking.

Also, could be that she was telling him about her *late night* in a flirty kind of way.

I think it is v odd he only remembered one year on, if that is true.

I was thinking the same @HongKongPhooey. It's a long time to provide a vital piece of evidence. Even if was a passing comment she made to him... what made him think of it a year later?

Just a thought... but if "he" (or another) was aware of all her liasions (because she either spoke to them about her encounters or they were around her when she had a new man at her side), and "he" also had an interest in her and she gave "him" the brush off, how would it make "him" feel? Angry? Rejected? A what's wrong/ why not me feeling? Could "he" have confronted her about it?

I think much of the case has been built around this reveal but thinking about it I can think of one reason why he would keep this information to himself for a Year.

When interviewed by the police in March 2009 and asked the question, how could you fail to mention:

"Claudia mentioned to me that she had been out all night the night before her disappearance"

I don't believe it to be credible evidence and if I was Galloway I would have grilled him far more about this new evidence.

thats where I was going with this. I got the impression that it was a mae colleague and my first thought was, why on earth did she tell him?

Deleted as question answered.

I don't agree with the sub plot theory. He was in lust with her with his puppy dog eyes, he wouldn't be part of a gang bang
Weren't those puppy dog eyes AFTER the marriage and the affair were over.

I agree @Nikynoo. Perhaps is was just a flirty nature she had with men? Perhaps to the wrong person this was interpreted as a 'come on' that was rejected?

Wonder did Ant work as a KP in The Acomb?
She had been in The Acomb with AN in a couple weeks before her disappearance. This was confirmed (eventually) by the landlord as below:
The landlord of The Acomb, Paul Harris, 41, said: ‘She was in here with Ant about three weeks before she went missing. The police came in about a month afterwards and questioned us and they spoke to Ant. They were asking about relationships and if she had any boyfriends.
The secret life of missing chef Claudia Lawrence - and the 'numerous liaisons' with married men | Daily Mail Online

and this:
“She was drinking in here two weeks before she went missing but that was the first time for years because she’d stopped drinking here because she obviously had made friends with those in the Nag’s Head.
“I did speak to her and said ‘Are you alright Claudia?’ and she was with Ant and she got the taxi home and I never saw her again.

Do you mean the link to Galloway saying how important the evidence was and how frustrated he was?

might have moved closer since 2009?
He moved to York seven-and-half years ago from his previous home in Slingsby, near the market town of Malton.

The decision was in part to keep a close check on his daughter’s terraced house, which Mr Lawrence has refused to sell, in the Heworth neighbourhood of York, but also to pursue a love of singing that he has nurtured since the age of seven.
