I know this sounds weird but would her house have been ripped to bits (looking behind any bath panel, floorboards, loft etc) and luminol used ? I'm just asking as there have been cases where people have been killed at a property and concealed in such places etc.
I still think the killer is very local and more than 1 person knows who it is. I'm not sure if I'd give the Christopher Halliwell link much credence but there's always the very slightest possibility she fell into his clutches somewhere, however unfortunate (the walk to work perhaps ?).
I do feel the investigation into this case was an absolute train wreck and I feel very sorry for Claudia's parents / loved ones.

Yes there must be some confusion here by JL as Sian O'Callaghan wasn't murdered until 2011.

She revealed this on the Missing or Murdered programme.. Someone else in the same programme also reported she saw Claudia speaking to someone fitting Haliwells discription

Following the Haliwells guilty plea, it emerged that a second murder charge against Halliwell had been dropped as a result of an error in the police handling of the case.The body of Becky Godden-Edwards, a woman who had been reported missing in 2007, was found after Halliwell's arrest. Halliwell had led police to the body. Mrs justice Cox ruled that Halliwell's confessions to killing each of the women were inadmissible as evidence, as Detective Superintendent Steve Fulcher had breached the guidelines of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984e by failing to caution Halliwell and denying him access to a solicitor during the period that the confessions were obtained.

I do not recall JL saying her daughter told her or others she ( Claudia ) actually met Halliwell

I remember it well but how would Claudia have known about Halliwell (to tell her mother) before his arrest in 2011?

Me too! Halliwell wasn't caught until March 2011, 2 years after CL disappeared so unless I'm missing something how did CL recognise CH?

I think if halliwell had been involved I think he would say, I think he likes the notoriety, and another murder isn't going to effect any release date as I don't believe he will ever get one

Cannot recall if this has been suggested or addressed already, but if CL is known to be private/secretive about her love life, is it known whether or not she was strictly into men?
In other words, could the person responsible for her disappearance be a woman, or the significant other connected to that female?
imo, speculation.

She may have had a bisexual stance as many females do.

Halliwell was in a mental health institution for. A few days when Claudia disappeared as he had volunteered himself there for help

An update as promised watching through the programme heres whats said and in what order when addressing the Halliwell subject
@the witness reported seeing Claudia talking to a man matching Haliwells discription( when this is being said it shows a women standing beside the drivers side of a staionary car with a male driver.. the window is wound down)
then it cuts to Claudia mum who says
'this man tried to lure her she said she would never ever forget his eyes she got such a clear view of him,she knew who he was when she saw his photograph on the television and newspaper'
then it cuts to the detective who says
'the police officer who was responsible for Haliwells convictin looked at it and said he thought it was a possibility pointing out he had family connections in Yorkshire.
It cuts back to Claudias mum who says
'I think its credible. Yes'
It then cuts back to the detectivewho says
'theres problems with it as Haliwell had some connections in Yorkshire yes he did but thye were in Hudderfield some considerable distance away from York'
After viewing the footage again Claudias mum was probably recalling what the witness had said 9 im not sure if this witness had said this directly to Claudias mun or wether Claudias mum was repeating what the witness had told police
Its all in the cutting of the programme I guess but it first appeared to me like it was a personal conversation that CL mum had had. Apologises for any confusion.

Galloway believed there were likely to be men who’d had relationships with Claudia who thought they were safe and would not have to come forward. He wanted them to know the police would find them sooner or later.

Det Supt Malyn said he believes a man captured on CCTV walking near to Miss Lawrence's home on the night of her disappearance was "the most important person to trace".
"He hasn't come forward. I can only speculate why he hasn't done so and whether someone is protecting him," he said.

He had not ruled out the possibility a "complete stranger" was involved but "strongly favoured the theory" those involved in her disappearance were "close to her", he added.

Was Malyn targeting the wife/family of a man who has already been arrested but was released and let off because of insufficient evidence?

Yes I've read this too, apparently he was suicidal. It's a shame he sought help for this as if he hadn't Sian Ocallaghan might have still been alive MOO

I think it obvious that the police clearly think one (or more) of the four arrested in 2014/15 was responsible.
