Interesting... but who could that be? MS??? Would CL have spent the night with MS though? MOO
You would need to start by investigating everyone who left that college within that year (across the board staff, employees/temp employees, students,contractors/subcontractors, delivery drivers even visitors) .. A big task I know but I would have liked to have seen a more thorough investigation of the college and who was on that campus at the time how long they were there the reasons they were there if/why they left and the reasons why they left

Andyboy post: I think Ms is more of a Billy no mates type, probably Couldn't believe his luck that claudia 20 years younger and attractive would be friendly with him, worked for mental health charity and was a volunteer samaritan, I know people like that have snapped before, but he wouldn't be top of my list

MS worked in the Biology labs at York Uni at the time of her disappearance.
I understand it was a non teaching post he held but would he have had access to chemicals in the Lab

@MummyRatcliffe I thought that also but she wasn't that fussy when it came to men. Aged builders with faces like stonemasons
But there's low standards and there's MS.... no offence to anyone but seriously?

If he is reading this and had an ego problem before, he won't now lol

But it appears he is a very caring guy working for a mental heath organistion and part time samaritan he also took care of his mother and gave up his sats to take her out. This is just the sort of guy that Claudia would have felt she could confide in and I am pretty sure she would have shared things with him that she wouldnt have shared with SC and JK

That's assuming this didn't take place

Perhaps MS was the disgruntled-sounding 'acquaintance' of CL from the Nag's Head who gave the interview with the Mail about how she would be drinking with you one minute then her phone would go and someone across the pub had texted and she'd go off with them, without so much as a by your leave.

I think she would definately see him as someone that she wouldnt have to invest a lot of time and energy into in maintaning a friendship with his nature being caring, a good listener, someoneone who would be happy to help whenever/whatever giving a lift, lunch on a sunday (when most other people would be with their familes)
Being a bit of a social butterfly she would have no problem flitting off to other people or groups when in his company.
someone texting you from across the room and you then leaving that persons company ..hmm what person would do that and what do you suppose they were saying in those texts that they coulndt go over to her and say personally ..someone who could and did exert some sort of control over her

Someone who didn't want anyone else to know about them, including his partner who may be drinking or working in the pub

Possibly but given the personalities of the these type of men they derive entertainment from crass and snide remarks especially against women who have the attention of another males...
If a women shows she bothered about what they said they would laugh it off and make fun of that with more jibes and jeers..
MS probably frequented this pub because Claudia did but why PL did is beyond me

It could just be Claudia pretending she got an urgent message. Her friends have said she did not know how to stop a conversation often not wanting to hurt their feelings !
Possible ?

Reading between the lines of your posts and blog, it’s clear that you have a strong sense of the course of events in this case.

Do you think that there are others who also share that strong sense, but who are themselves frightened of said person(s) to this day? Either physically frightened or else frightened of being implicated?

I wonder how many NH regulars drifted away from there in the months subsequently.

Or someone who knew MS through work?

By all accounts, he stood at the end of the bar on his own. If he gave her lifts to work, she will have felt obliged to make some effort to acknowledge him.

Yes but this observer (MS?) would witness the eye contact between MS and a male, followed by text messages, followed by her leaving. If he had already bought her a drink, maybe he felt a bit used and abused whereas she might not have wanted to refuse his offer of a drink out of politeness. The lift arrangement was his way of connecting with her in the pub. All this said, I don't believe he was involved.
