I reckon that SC didn't bother checking Claudia's house because she was miffed at being stood up. JK and Claudia had probably fallen out over something and that's why she didn't check on her either.
Maybe she thought she a male guest and didn't want to disturb her, probably thought she might be otherwise engaged as it were

There was also confusion about who CL was going with, plus when and where the holiday would take place. The meeting with SC in the pub on Thurs 19th was to sort out a holiday to Greece. Meanwhile, we know she was discussing a holiday in Cyprus on the night of her disappearance (texting the builder guy SS in Coral Bay), but was struggling with the cost of flights. Yet after her disappearance, JK gave the impression she was going to Cyprus with her and it had been booked. Was this true or just a cover story to make it look like her and CL were 'close friends' at the time of her disappearance? How CL could afford all these holidays on a university chef's salary is beyond me.

In an article in the Mirror on line its says this:-
The best friend of Claudia Lawrence has revealed that the missing chef was desperate for a holiday and had booked one just days before she vanished.
As police began searching drains, sewers and a river near her home, Jen King told how Claudia had been planning an Easter trip to Cyprus with her.
Jen, 24, said: "She had been working really hard and had some holiday booked. She asked if I wanted to go. We were both really excited."

I think the errand she made prior to her disappearance was to pay for her holdiay to Cyprus at Easter I think she told JK she had booked it and said to her 'why dont you come'? and it was left as that. It was said that she was going to meet SC in the Nags Head on the evening of the 18th to discuss a holiday with her to Greece was this the same holiday or was this another? ) I think Claudias finances were stretched to a point that she had maxed out her credit (and handouts from her father) and had loans refused because of it.
I am almost sure a man had loaned her money who that is im still considering.

Did RCampbell visitCL on evening of the 16th on his way to Scotland to pick up the vans he could possibly have given /loaned her the money to pay for the holiday to Cyprus at Easter. I think CL felt uncomfortable with this but I think she had backed herself into a corner as she had most likely used the 'I cant afford it ' reason to men for not going to Cyprus and this was a man who could afford the loan to her insisted and left her without an argument to accept it.
I think she may well have tried to refuse the money because she realised the consequences of accepting it.. theres no doubt in my mind she made a bad decision.
I also think he's the man in the video of the evening of the 18th.

Im not ruling out that another man may have loaned her money

CL, SC & JK were known to have holidayed together its not clear in the information avail if the Cyprus holiday was the same holiday CL and SC were planning together if not and CL was I believe in a hole financially was she going to tell SC that she couldnt afford to take a holiday with her and didnt show up at the NH on the evening of the 18th to put off telling her this.
If JK knew CL had booked a holiday to Cyprus at Easter did SC know this, or had JK told her the night of 18th when Claudia didnt turn up.

Due to the complexity of Claudias life its challenging when looking at the evidence we have access to because some aspects this evidence might not link together in a direct way to find out who was responsible for her disapearance they just represent different compartments and men/women in her personal life.
I am ruling no one out ..

Suzy has told me that they were planning a summer holiday. She was already booked with JK on an earlier one
Strange that the 3 girls didn't go away together and just in twos.

We know her passport was in her bag in the house.. You would need to show your passport for API details ( Advanced passenger information)

This is a good point as you wouldn't normally carry your passport around at all times as there is a risk of losing it sand its a pain to replace, particularly if your holiday is soon.

They may have had individual commitments that may have affected them not being able to plan a holiday all together. SC may have simply preferred a different destinantion as she had been to Cyprus before.
As you know I find SC's personality interesting.

Even so the house was practically next door to the pub. I still can't understand why once she realised CL wasn't going to come that evening she didn't go outsidem 50 yards down the street and tap on the window/door or even see if there were any lights on.

While I certainly don't suspect SC of any wrongdoing that is odd to me, I could understand it more if Claudia live half a mile down the road and then you probably wouldn't bother.

IIRC when she was asked in one of the many interviews why she didn't investigate if CL was at home (obviously not known at that point she was missing until next morning) she said this was a regular occurance?

Which also leads me to say if she was in the habit of agreeing to meet and not turn up surely a text or two would've been sent in the morning/afternoon to remind CL of the meeting? Of course the phone was turned off at midday that Thursday but haven't seen any reporting of any texts from SC to CL's phone after their final meeting.
I wonder whether JK looked for lights at Claudia's house on her way home. Were the lights on or off when her dad opened the house door?

So for arguments sake if she didnt use the travel agents on heworth road and she had the loan money on the 16th did she deposit the money into a bank or P.Office account on the 17th and was the letter she was seen posting on the 18th a completed holiday booking form (with payment and API details and coopy of her passport for id) which had already been mailed out to her.
(Is there a bank, P.Office or ATM with paying in facility on her route to work)

There was nothing out of the ordinary when they went into her house .The place looked as if she went to work as normal

The big question is 'was it noticed by police'
Did police ever say it was CLs footwear print or not?
It looks to me that some ‘dusting’has been done on it !

Linda Chapman was out walking with a child and pram and is reported as seeing Claudia and exchanging pleasantries with her at the time of the errand. Im sure Linda would know if Claudia had her bag with her.
