I don't want to derail this thread in a needless direction but was it ever said if RC drank in the Nags head? I'm assuming if it was him turning up on one of the CCTVs for whatever reason he must've lived pretty locally so could just pop up easily.

Cartwright did live fairly Claude by in East Park Road. He lead a very prudent lifestyle as can be seen by his property. There has been no suggestion to date that he drank at Nags. He was formerly a railway carriage cleaner and so used to working night shifts.

Cartwright had a brother with learning difficulties and as well as working hard he would be supporting his brother.
Perhaps someone was trying to set him up as the fall guy (patsy)for this but it didn't work. A more successful set up of someone occurred recently in the Jo Cox politician killing.

I've seen you mentioning this before, pretty sure just minutes after he'd attacked Jo Cox, police found Thomas Mair hiding behind buses in a close by cul-de-sac. You'd also have numerous eye witnesses (and her PA) who witnessed the horrible attack given she was going to the weekly surgery at Birstall library.

Can anyone shed any light on this :Her sister Ali said once that Claudia and a male friend (?) were about to catch a plane to Florida when her companion was refused permission to board the plane . Who was this ?
I bet her sister knows who this was ?!

Yes I've often wondered about this. And the boyfriend had been done for GBH and CL knew nothing about it.
It would have been nice to hear a bit more from Ali. She seemed to have a reasonably good handle on Claudia - didn't she say that she thought "oh no, not again" and said over time CL stopped talking about this side of her life as her family would tell her what they thought. I wonder when Ali was first interviewed by NYP?

I dont know his name but he was refused permission to board as he'd been charged with grevious bodily harm at some point..

I haven't seen anything about a personal diary other than the link from a couple of WS pages back in the article where her mother commented about DO's revelation, saying they would check Claudia's diary. Had DS Galloway told her to say this in an attempt to flush out the mystery man?

I would think work will have provided details of her shift rota.

No they found him and arrested him over an hour later a distance from the scene of murder. Mair's dopleganger was seen getting out of a black unmarked car as Mair was being arrested in the same street.

First I've heard of this!!!!

Think you're getting a bit carried away with the conspiracy of fitting people up for crimes, now understandble for Barry George/Jill Dando given how that played out.
