Sorry, I can't recognize the women, not even vague.

Its not easy FG . There are two figures at the doorway I stand by that for sure again the one in the white TShirtis facing out as someone would if they had answered the door the other person in the light coloured garment has their back to the road this person appears to have black shoulder length hair Im fustrated because the tools I have avail doesnt allow me to make it clearer in this case its made harder as the windscreen of the bus appears to have either gather condensation or light rain which affects the visability more than usual.
Im searching for a better free download of software if anyone here uses one please let me know.
What is certain for me is that someone called at Claudias door on the night of the 18th around 9.01pm and that truck and a car parked in front of it and the group of people around it should be looked at with a lot more interest because those people would have seen these people at the doorway.
I am interested in at least two other people in the group around that truck a woman that runs towards the truck from the direction of the NH and a person stood at the drivers side door of the truck he appears to be wearing a white/light coloured cap and a top that has a dark front and light sleeves which is the same type of clothing I notice the TangHall Co op is wearing.

Oh so they are still looking to speak with him then and he hasn’t already been located/interviewed?
I’m not sure what year they released those pictures of this man but I genuinely thought someone would have recognised him almost instantly, if they knew him.

I’ve been reading some interesting posts on REDDIT regarding this case today. One of the posts from last year someone says he heard a RUMOUR that someone who worked at the college had something to do with it. They said they wanted to stress that it was a rumour but sounds like it was quite a few people saying it. I suppose stuff like that could be chinese whispers though and easily spread.

My research leads me to person/persons connected to the college..

but there are numberous people with connections to the college that could also have connections to this case

@moonsafari was working at the Nags up until late 2008 but had left then. Reading her blog, which is one of the best things anyone interested in this case should do. Talks about how she knew Claudia as a customer.

The man at Tang Hall Co op he told staff that he either knew or worked with Claudia. The Cold Case team do have a lead they are working on it but the recent murder in York has kept them busy. They have said they will get back to me with an update.

I hope they come through in their promises @keep-it-real My team are still waiting from November. What we found is they provided information which was very revealing about a private cctv camera with footage showing Claudia returning to her house that afternoon, when we asked for more info. Because the same camera would show earlier or even later crucial evidence they went a little evasive and quiet????

That’s what I thought too. The footage is very clear if they were that desperate to find him you’d have thought it would have been done by now but I can’t find any update about it. I guess it’s possible being that they said he had an African accent that he was just in the country short term and has moved back abroad and that’s why they can’t locate him.

Of course it could be that he has absolutely nothing of use to offer anyway and just saw the story about Claudia on the front of the paper that day and decided to piggyback on it. Kind of odd that he would just tell random retail workers about it though. How did the subject even come up.

1) No. You see the odd case come up every decade where some monster has kept people kidnapped in basements for years but I doubt that is the case here or she's some sex slave.

2) I was going to go in March but lockdown put paid to that. Would've had my lunch in the Charles pub on York campus then walked the couple of miles to her road. Was interesting reading about people saying CCTV POI had a limp and someone on here said there was a slight camber on the pavement. Doubt I'd have called into the NH though, that would be a bit odd as so much of it would've changed in the 11 years aswell as surronding area.

Will be interesting if NH will survive post covid, plenty of pubs sadly won't.

When I visited the area last year there was a camber on the footpath. I didn't find myself limping but it was certainly a noticeable walk. I mentioned this in my blog.

I think that your cctv spot is credible @keep-it-real Worth a better look. Your descriptions are excellent but I feel you devalue your post by then mentioning CO-op man. Baseball hats are ten a penny. Cooo man if part of a slick removal and killing machine (which appear to have done a good removal job) is also them likely to go bragging about it down at the local convenience store. Even Huntley was more discreet than that.

He said he knew her-Now working at York Uni would have brought her in contact with many people. Likely a discussion a she was buying his paper-Headlines about Ckaudia, happens every day. Customer chats to newsagent about story in media.
There are many in this case who would say the knew her or would have liked to-unlikely they killed her though-This was a planned operation and not a lone wolf.

Its interesting thatnot only does he have the newspaper open but hes looking at something else on the shelf then next frame he has the folded newspaper under his arm but again hes looking at the shelves he's got an interest in what the other papers are reporting I think..

I agree that baseball caps are commonly worn. I would not have made the comparison if the figure beside the truck had not been wearing a similar top garment to that of Tang Hall man. In my opinion its worth noting nothing more at this stage.

I do that when buying a newspaper. I look at what the others papers are saying-usually the same tripe manufactured to attempt to persuade the minds of the public-So few good investigative journalists today and the industry is totally discredited I'm afraid. Even the press articles on Claudia were so innacurate.
I was looking at Mark William Thomas on Instagram the other day-I've yet to see a case he has solved or even provided new evidence on. But it seems to keep him comfortable with new cars and nice holidays. Hope he was more successful as a real cop?
His big reveal was that in his opinion there were more than one involved and that it was locals silence covering up. Even the police had worked that one out and most primary school children at that stage.

I wouldnt discount that a lone wolf as a possibility

Coop man was linked to a rapist who was arrested in the area around a similar time and I wondered why you didn't make that point?
But if he worked alone, what was he doing with a group of people around her house in a black 4x4. This had got my HOOTers going.

The perpetrators have been hugely successful by stying quiet and so hardly likely to go bleating at the local newsagents.

Firstly I have made reference to who I Think the Tang Hall man was on the thread before and gave my reasons.
I passed this to the Cold Case team some weeks ago they are in contact me. At this stage I am only looking to try and identify Tang Hall man.
Obviously since then I have been trying to choose my words carefully on the forum but a decision about identity from the Cold Case is paramount and where I was hoping I would have had that eitherway by now the fact that there has been a recent murder in York has held thing up which is understandable.
No doubt the Corona Virus situation has also had effect.
While a little fustrating in waiting for that decision I continue to work on researching any details personal and other in relation to this individual and anyone connected to him/college.

As I said before I drew attention to the man standing beside the truck because I noted they clothing resembled similar to that of Tang Hall man and worth noting nothing more at this stage.
I am also interested in one other person in that group.

Clearly there will be a lot to discuss and share here and I am happy to do that for anyone interested and I understand that if the person I think is Tang Hall man could be extremely important to the case. but I repeat I am still waiting on a decision from Cold Case regarding confirmation of identity.

@Yozzer May be able to confirm but I recall aTang Hall man was identified in some way. Unfortunately NYP website is not always as up to date as we are on here.
