I'm not sure how long 2 bodies would take, if claudia was about 9 stone and she was in with similar be like an 18 stone person wouldn't it, I presume bones are bones aren't they, and anyway i don't think time is a consideration, as I was told, people aren't always cremated the same day as you may think, was told they have only just got over the recent coronavirus backlog

I was working on theory that it was computerised .. the 2-2.5 hours incineration. I suppose there must body weight considerations to burn time too. It would need some organisation but its possible. Thanks for getting to grips with the detailed info Its been and education for a lot of us I think

just. another thought on that last message to jk
I know its blindingly obvious, but with the lie that she had to work so much, this message was effectively creating a wedge between jk and the. other friends....assuming they didn't know this
How do we know it was a lie @cortina ?

No big deal, just spent half an hour talking to my mate, socially distancing of course

I’m sorry guys I’m am going to have to take a back seat... this is sounding more and more like a black comedy.
May I remind people that we are talking about real people with feelings
Let’s hope we get a result soon
And it goes without saying if you know or strongly suspect something tell it to the police before putting it up here
Stay Safe

That is a possibility, I have been to numerous cremations and always assumed that once the curtains shut you were in the oven, found out that isn't true unless you are the first of the day because the one before you takes 2 hrs or so then they have to wait for the Ashes to cool down before collection, so it's possible she was put in another coffin, but this would require either an unknown amount of assistance at the crematorium or maybe a dodgy undertaker putting an extra body in the coffin

Thank you @Andyboy. What you’ve explained so far rules out the Malton crematorium option for me: too far fetched and complicated. Out of the criminal methods to make bodies disappear , encasing, distruction by industrial process and the last bullet point are more likely IMO.

Btw, one of our friends told us today that many in York think she’s under that uni campus building. Why I don’t know.

I'd be more inclined to go for being buried myself, don't know the geography but how far away are the moors, or maybe dumped at sea, I wonder if anyone who has been considered a suspect has access to a boat

@cortina My view of why no one has come forward is because the sighting didn't happen. This was a red herring thrown in by the Perps to make it look as though Claudia was taken on her way to work rather than police perhaps looking into where she had been that night.
So this is what we have-The originator of this sighting remains anon. No one comes forward and so strong material towards thinking that the occurrence existed only in the mind of the perps.

Re above paragraphy by you. ^^^ Thank you for saying what I'd been wondering, it makes it more believeable to see someone mention what you yourself have been considering

The same with the staging of her house to make it look as though she had been there but as Joan Lawrence observed, perhaps a little tidier than Claudia would have left it and that included the made bed???

George Foreman attending the scene was also an Oportunity for him to be able to claim that any dabs or dna recovered from forensics were from his once only visit to her house.

^^^ I need reminding who George Foreman is, with or without his grill. Interesting!

This of course may have been true.

JKs DNA would be all over the place and so again a good fall back position for her and for anyone who could claim that she had invited them to her house previously.

I seem to recall that someone had said that sometimes when a Nags Head lock in was not convenient for George Foreman that some would go back to Claudias house?

^^^Oh so GF was the manager of the pub?

BBM (Bolded by me - above 3 times). Thanks.

According to the two accounts below from people who knew Claudia's daily routines, it wasn't uncommon for her to pop into the pub after work. I wonder if she did this on that Wednesday afternoon for a clandestine meeting?

BBM: You are ringing my bells now. This really makes sense to me. Can you remind me...was she sighted going home again later? I'm confused now. Did she stay there, watching TV quietly whilst talking to mum bored and alone for a while?

The other thought I had here is that her affair with Lee Horwell whilst described as over may we'll have rekindled.
He lived around the corner in Freddie Truemans old Victorian terrace-Now apartments and a short walk. But as you say, she may have just gone to the Nags for a quick fix and not of the Cider kind if you follow what I mean?

Good points made above.

Something else occured to me earlier that popped in to my mind from long ago that could potentially have happened with CL either by someone local or an ex or someone with a stalking type mind or even anger. I had two next door neighbours who were an older married couple. My previous flat mate had given the female next door neighbour a spare set of keys in case she lost hers. After she moved out, she left the keys with the neighbours. I was happy with this as they would feed the cat or keep an eye on the property when I was away - plus there was nowhere safe to leave a spare key so handy for those lost key moments. For many many years all was fine. It didn't occur to me at any point that the husband was a predator/pervert, until he became interested in my new blonde flat mate. Then one day I came out of my bedroom. I was home alone, or so I thought and at the very same time the male next door neighbour was exiting my absent flat-mates room. I screamed. He was shocked to see me (as I was him). He made pathetic excuses about the flat door was open (it was not, it was a rough neighbourhood and I was meticulous with the door locking, especially after an attempted break-in previously. He couldn't explain how he got through the main front door to even get to the supposed open front door. Anyway, he had been (literally) in my flat-mates knicker drawer. He had to have used the spare keys to the building front door and my flat front door.

So does the above spark any possible relation to a perp using old or spare keys - for instance the person who was in 'charge' of the keys knew nothing about it (at first) but the other half nicked them? (Male or Female). Or previous lover had a copy of the keys or begged someone for keys saying he was going to surprise CL that night?

Its worth noting that police did speak to a burglar in connection with the investigation its documented in the book 'Gone' the author suggests that this was because of the locality of the burglars offence. But a important part wasnt addressed 'what were the circumstances' of the burglary I suspect it had a perverse side to it.
I certainly have this point as a highlighted note on my file

If this burglar had entered Claudias house, did they decide to leave the TV and valuables including her bank card(s) that were highly visible upon her Dad visiting the house. Would her passport not also have been an attractive possession for a burglar to sell on.

Or are you suggesting that this burglar may have botched things and decided to cover their tracks by not removing anything?

Was the burglar being interviewed because they may have seen something that may have been valuable to police?
