We go to York pretty regular and always fancied nipping into the NH to get a feel for the place but thought it might be a bit macabre. Especially with the house only a few doors away, I do think it would give a better feel of the local area though but then my knowledge is not going to solve this case so not really any point. Suppose I'm just nosey and would hope to get a gut feeling about the locals.

I dont ever think this will be solved if I am totally honest, but I suppose stranger things have happened.
Have Faith my person !

Have Faith my person !

I know, I am a negative Nancy! There just never seems to be anything new and very little to go on. Reminds me very much of Suzy Lampugh.

Fingers crossed for a breakthrough one day though.

I went there last year and in the day didn't recognise any of the locals or POIs present.
It was mentioned this year that it was closing and now has a new landlady who is in PRs FB friends group so perhaps she is working for him.
With all of his property speculation in Heworth, I can't see him letting it close and as he now owns old Tommy's house next door I wonder if he has grand plans to extend and install his long term Moll as Head barmaid and hostess.
A bit like Dirty Den of Heworth.

Tommy's old house (62 HR) has been refurbished and is now back on the market at £100k more than purchased in 2018. (Zoopla). Back then the house held a right of way over the track between it and the NH (per Companies House record). Maybe the right of way will now be separated from No 62 and offered over to the NH or retained by PR's company?
Nice pic of SR's van in front of the house on Zoopla.

I was planning to go there in March but lockdown put an end to that. Will try to get up later in the year when hopefully the World has calmed down for a bit.
Was reading a few posts on that betting forum that was linked a few days ago and a few York posters were saying it was madness her walking at 5-6am through York's biggst council estate so I'd certainly do the walk from the uni just to get a feel and also take a breath when passing her front door (will resist popping into NH).
It was a reasonably busy road that could cut out going through the city centre if you were coming from the North are my impressions so interested if that's the reality.

Edit: The case has been in a stalling phase for quite some time now, probably since 2015 when last arrests were made.

Still I'd never have though Maddy McCann case would be close to being solved before this one (or at least a credible suspect is finally determinded) so we live in hope.

The only time I'd like to go into the NH would be for a quiz night, scores are tied, tie break question, who killed claudia, wouldn't mind hearing the answers

Att @Jartykarate you’ve commented ( in other cases ) that social media could be killing the chance of a fair trial .
And I think I agree with that to a degree .
Question for you and everyone else here :Would we have to declare interest in this case ( cl case ) if any of us are ever called to serve as a jury member ?
I believe that it would be against the spirit of a fair trial if a juror where not to declare an interest (even as an amateur sleuth) that they where called to pass judgement on.

Oh I've been wrong many times and that is why I challenge anything that is unlikely.
I will continue to do so.

I have deactivTed my blog because it was encouraging the wrong type who then attacked my social media posts. It was developed to help find the truth but if course some don't want that.
It is obvious that Tri-Lambda was a sock and the way they came storming in with a good piece of analysis followed by the biggest load of rubbish ever.
They have gone but likely the same person will return in multiple guises.
It wastes time
It doesn't help find the truth
There can only be a few reasons why someone wants to do it:
Sheer boredom and Devilment
Or
Worrying we are getting the perps to close to the fire.
So I make no apologies for challenging them or any theories that are taking us off track.
On a final point, we have to be careful when looking at cctv footage, particularly of footage that is not in daylight and there is much shadow and light refraction.
You then start to see things that aren't there and if someone says "Can you see the person in a black jacket with white sleeves covering what looks like Claudia with a green tarp. You go looking for it and surprise surprise-See it.

I agree we should be careful when viewing cctv I found the same when I went looking for the two persons mentioned in your footer. :)

There were 4 people in Heworth Road and Heworth Place on the evening of 18th March:
One was the Person who walked up Heworth Place and Back to Heworth Road-Dark Person
One was the person who crosses Heworth Place as Dark Person walks down Heworth Place to Heworth Road-Light Person
One hides in the doorway of The Limes reception-Limes Person
One Is situated behind the wall of Heworth Cottage, The corner house on Heworth Road and Place-Cottage person
. The CCTV was poor quality and not enhanced and there were many timestamps missing.

It all feels like a game of Monopoli and Cluedo at the same time

Probably changing the locks. He does a good job here according to his Google ratings. :)

But the McCann suspect has been dropped I hear this week. Is this because the McCanns would have to appear in court and answer some awkward questions?

As I say I have made many mistakes in this case and am now at the point that I have to dismiss anything that is an image that can not be seen clearly by more than one or two Sleuths.
Many viewing the 4x4 could not make out what others could and the issue is that once someone says "I see what looks like Claudia being bundled into the black truck" others go looking and see just that.
If the police have this footage-we know they have and have spoken to the vehicle owner. Then they will have examined this very thoroughly but perhaps like many in this thread, not seen with a sufficient degree of certainty to persuade the CPS.

On the night of 18th March, it is quite possible that a different crime(s) was / were being committed and became footage because it was in the same vicinity.

In my opinion Malyn frustration is not just born about from CPS not wishing to support his evidence it is possibly the following:
1. Incompetence during first investigation by Galloway and evidence being inadmissible.
2. Lack of comments from those arrested.
3. False Alibi(s) that cannot be picked apart.
4. Another higher profile case involving contraband and county lines gang activity that meant certain evidence from the Claudia case could not be revealed.

Every life is important but we do know that rich and seedy drug dealers take millions of lives every year and are behind almost all serious and even petty crime today.

From everything I’ve read, including the excellent articles that moonsafari and MajorLang produced, it feels like it will be more a case of someone either “slipping up” somewhere or else an accomplice deciding to come forward.

I’ve always thought the police know perfectly well what happened. It’s the lack of evidence that hampers it.

Personally, I don’t think there’s anything in her walking at 5-6am through York’s biggest council estate. I think that just says more about perceptions of council estates than anything else. She’d done it before. It’s a main road.

Besides, even if she did walk to work that morning (which we don’t know), she doesn’t appear even to have it that far down the road, if the lack of any sighting of her on CCTV from the Post Office that morning is anything to go by.

I'm inclined to agree; it's not exactly Beirut. A lot of residents are university students living in houses of multiple occupancy. That said, most women would be wary of walking out and about in the dark but statistically night time is a far bigger risk than morning. In fact statistically, most murders are committed in the evening, with 6am being the least common time frame.

Where we were both expressing our own opinion. Perhaps we can both agree that a fresh examination by the police of all the cctv with modern advanced technology would be a good step forward.

Plus a group of people that disappear from left hand side as dark man appears and turning left !
Some of these could have already come foward as witnesses

I would agree with you @keep-it-real. But of course they may well have done this but then discovered d something they don't wish to share and keep for future evidence.

He's a very good lead I think given his phone places him in Praia De Luz on the night of her going missing and past history. Ultimately no body and DNA is same as was Claudia and also the Peter Falcanio case from 2001 which was on British TV this week. You can still convict people on circumstantial evidence but it just makes the process a bit harder.
