I'm just wondering how a DA-Notice could be applied in this case? All I know about it is that it is a voluntary code for reporting restrictions on Government/Military issues?
I know Corrie was RAF but whatever happened to him happened outside of that? If it is true surely Corrie's uncle has broke the NDA or rules by posting this info? Not saying I agree with it by any means.
Needs a lot of explaining I think!
I would bet my house there is a D Notice on Marham and Aldershot tooYeah.... and some !
Firstly, they don't just "slap" D Notice's around.
Secondly, it is as rare as hens teeth that someone has actually said "there's a D Notice on this".
And importantly..... it's not just about "editors voluntary not reporting" things. That's their nice way of putting it.
Everything now will have to be "approved" before it comes out of a "mainstream media" outlet.
....a D Notice is "heavy".

I also think the daily mail story was not a coincidence. It was them tipping the winkWouldn't surprise me at all either. I posted the other day about potential reporting restrictions that could apply to all three incidents - link here, and the last link on my post is about D Notices.

ExactamundoCould well be. Can't write about specifics, so will just write about something in a very general way that happens to be directly related.

I think they can answer, what this means is the press can't talk about possible abduction by enemies. The facts still need to be out thereWell, I'm so glad that I spent a good chunk of my morning compiling that list of questions that the family probably won't be able to answer after all ...![]()
