Maybe because there is involvement ? You may not come forward then.

The only 'waiting for a lift' scenario I can think of would be if someone had offered him a lift at the end of their shift. This could be anyone working at the pubs/clubs/food places that shut around that time, who he could have had contact with at any point in the evening. It may not even have been a definite arrangement - just an 'if you're still in town at 3ish, I can give you a lift home' type offer. Not sure why nobody would have come forward about that though...
I can't remember where we heard about USAF guy offering him a lift - does anyone have a source?
I also can't believe that IF Corrie was relieving himself by the bins (sorry to be graphic ladies) and given the state his inebriation, that there wasn't any splash back on his trousers, urine evidence on the floor and DNA evidence along his chosen route thereafter. Surely a sniffer dog could have followed that?
The Tescos sniff has been eliminated by the way.
Funny but I was just thinking the same about staff being on shift, but I can't see it. I was thinking more along the lines of if he was waiting for a female, then it could be a female staff member at a club. But that should send Corrie back to the club exit or staff exit for leaving time.
Although the dating site thing seems like a possibility, I can't see anyone making arrangements to meet up at 3.30am, and if Corrie thought he was meeting a girl later, then wouldn't he have gone a bit easier on the drinks earlier in the night? His behaviour in the club sounds more like the behaviour of someone who doesn't expect to pull at this point, not someone who's already arranged to meet up with a girl later. If he's comfortable meeting someone at that time in the morning, surely it has to be someone who he doesn't mind seeing him unable to walk a straight line?
No need to get personal!

Technically it CAN. from the Epithelial cells in urine.Urine does not carry DNA evidence.
Im honestly and genuinely thinking bad thoughts driven by the potential progress we've made so far. I'm really leaning towards a chain of events that's gone wrong. An arranged lift prior to him going out with a meeting spot near the loading bays for discretion, the organised lift not arriving, him chancing his way home on foot, bin lorry passing the teenagers, Corrie inadvertently bumping into the three 'teenagers', getting mugged and relieved of the possessions in his pockets, mobile is binned into the passing bin lorry enroute to BM mast area, wallet gets dumped elsewhere because of ID, Corrie gets left, teenagers argue over what they've done, neighbour here's them shouting in the street, teenagers go back to recover Corrie and Corrie ends up.....(your guess is as good as mine).
I think the probability that three teenagers who mug somebody at random would have the motive, quick-thinking, resources and incredible good fortune to then make their victim disappear without anything being caught on CCTV is very low indeed.
Think about (but not out aloud) what I've just said about transport...).
The thing is....
.....he was offered a lift already. By 01.45 he'd be tucked up in his pit, and fighting his dog off the kebab.
Why wait till 03.30 ?
...because the lift might not be available until that time from camp. Think outlying units, shift workers, parts collections. The thing is....

Can you please fill me in on the offer of a lift from USAF guy? Is this fact or hearsay from the Facebook page?Exactly. If you believe the USAF guy's claim that he offered Corrie a lift earlier and that Corrie refused, the only conclusion is that Corrie was waiting around for something other than a lift home.

Could it be that if a lift WAS offered and turned down it might be because Corrie wanted to go and get food and if he accepted the lift then he would have to forgo the epic Friday night takeaway?

Why do they need to have passed their driving tests? They don't need a car do they if Corrie has been dumped locally (God forbid). Everything is local apart from the phone which has been chucked in the passing bin lorry!....and they've past their driving test....and brought their mums car !
Because you'd have to go through all the rigmarole of having the vehicle searched, getting a sober sponsor to vouch for Corrie (and his friend), to get the vehicle booked into the guardroom, drive onto camp to his accommodation, get an escort to drive him back off camp.....all takes time. Easier just to rely on the camp transport system. Why would anybody decline a lift 'now' in order to spend two hours huddled up cold in a doorway merely to get a later lift? It doesn't make any sense. All it would need is a quick text to the person who originally offered the lift to say, "I'm sorted now, thanks" and you're on your way home two hours earlier than expected.
