Here's an article about the new cctv centre which was opened in 2015 http://www.eadt.co.uk/news/new_cctv..._monito_140_cameras_in_west_suffolk_1_4343128
I have to agree sadly. During my intuitively investigation along Shortbrackland it seems like a bit of a 'blind spot' for CCTV. And why should it be monitored if you think about it? There is no rhyme or reason for the council to monitor domestic properties. I can understand town properties where tenants pay a council rent. The spread of fires and vandalism to their properties being one good reason to monitor their own. This would easily explain the last CCTV footage of 0324 as from then onwards it becomes residential.
The private cctv was on Short Brackland.

Police searching for missing 23-year-old Corrie McKeague are making a direct appeal to trace three young people who were in Short Brackland in Bury St Edmunds on the morning of his disappearance to come forward.
The three – all said to be aged between around 16 to 18, one a female described as being white, of quite slim build, possibly with blonde hair, wearing either a dark green or navy blue jumper-style top, and two males, one wearing a hooded top – were seen in this area of Bury St Edmunds, towards the back of Cornhill Walk shopping centre, around 4.20am on Saturday 24 September.
This may be true but I have a thought in my head that it wasn't the bin lorry driver who saw them, anyone have any links to say where the info came from about the teenagers? ThanksWe've since been told that they were seen by the bin driver not the camera though

what time did the phone ping in the Barton Mills mast area please, anyone? (Confirmed link please)
I don't have a confirmed exact time, however I do have the following:
"Enquiries and information received over the past week have led police to believe he may have been in the Mildenhall area at some point between 4.30am and 8am on Saturday 24 September, and police would like to hear from anyone who may have seen or spoken to a man matching Corrie’s description in this area around this time." from Suffolk Police (2nd October update)
and
"3.24am to around 4.30am: Police were able to trace Corrie’s mobile phone from Bury to the Barton Mills area, near Mildenhall, at a speed only a vehicle could travel at. His phone was not used after this and it has not been found." from the findcorrie.co.uk website.
Taking these both together would suggest the phone pinged in Barton Mills area at or around 4.30am.
Just read this latest article and it seems like the Police are stepping up searches in Barton Mills/Mildenhall so could point to them now thinking a car got him there and the bin lorry was coincidence?

Again assuming these teenagers are involved, I think they are being deliberately vague about the phone ping times. Police statements aren't just to update the general public, they can often be used to mess with the perpetrators head. Saying pings were between 3.25 -4.30 could be the police trying to spook a suspect/suspects. If the police think whatever happened did happen in that hour and likely the suspect/suspects drove to Barton Mills and then back to BSE giving an hour window it is a better tactic than just releasing the Barton Mills ping. The hour window nicely fits with the teenagers being seen at 4.20.I'm sure I read somewhere the mention of 04:28 for the phone ping? Also 04:00 for the bin arrival in Short Brackland?

Assuming the teenagers are considered suspects here I think Corrie got in/was put in a vehicle just after 3.24, phone maybe pinged about 4am. It would then be possible for them to drive to Barton Mills and be back in BSE by 4.20am. Why would Nicola be visiting schools and colleges if she didn't think young people were somehow involved?
Another comment from Nicola I've just noticed (on the FB group):
"Corrie drove in to bury on his own as he was sorting out his little puppy louell. The lads thought he was in the other car to him. Once they got to bury they realised this and so corrie had to drive in on his own. Corrie then stopped his car and spoke to his brother darroch on the phone for nearly an hour and rightly or wrongly he did sit in his car drinking whilst on the phone. Yes I am well aware this is an offence and am very upset it's happened. But to be honest the only thing I care about right now is getting my boy back home x"
