Ok. I don't have telly and no subscriptions is there a YouTube video ? I would have thought someone with such a wonderful machine would be getting as much content out there as possible.

Why not just watch it in on My5 in a web browser or via the app?

Just running a wild thought over in my head and sharing. I'm not saying this is what happened, I'm just throwing what little we know up in the air and seeing how it falls.

If we suspend our notions of what is likely for one moment, and accept that someone other than NB could operate her phone then it becomes only an assumption that she herself clicked on the phone link for the teams meeting (camera and audio off). It is possible to send a text on someone else's phone which appears to be from them if they have access to it. The only witness sightings were from a distance (dogs interacted but did they interact?), then the last physical interaction with NB for definite would be dropping the kids off at the school as the kids and teachers/other parents could not be mistaken. Could it be that it was someone other than NB in the field but dressed up in the same clothes, of the same size, same hair, with local knowledge, who would be able to control the dog as they had walked it before? The bench scene then being staged. Whatever happened to NB having happened immediately after the school drop.

Please do tell me if there are obvious holes in this so that I can put it in the discarded list.

I'm still leaning towards a possible abduction, having abandoned the river as a theory.
It’s great and very useful to think it through like that and come up with scenarios. I do think that the first witness sighting is legitimate as she knew Nicola and it is said that they had a brief conversation before the witness left to go down the river path. For this reason I don’t see this particular theory is viable.
Having said that I think it’s possible the mobile phone could have been operated by someone that wasn’t necessarily Nicola

Edited to remove incorrect information.

It is ordnance datum.

Apparently the gauge at Catterall is 0 above datum so maybe the depth is 7m as you suggest.
Thanks, been Googling for half an hour to try to understand "ordnance datum" but all I could conclude is that all 3 measuring sites use the same method so should be comparable and the one that is mainly quoted in this thread is the depth at the weir (0.4M) but the two upstream monitors are 7M leading me to think the weir measurement is after the weir - would make sense because the point of a weir is to hold back water like a dam so upstream will be deeper.

So what I'm getting at, is the water is deep near the bench - potentially 3-4 times the height of NB.

I would not be able to tolerate watching such a show but video of the sonar would be interesting. I see the PF bloke has nothing on the website about it.

Is the company she works for one single national company which employ’s people (employed or self employed) or is it a company which has people in different areas who have taken on a franchise? I expect the Police will have looked into the nature of the Teams meeting and the content as to whether it was training, company update, meeting targets etc. I know someone who logged in to a Skype meeting a few years ago with the company they worked for (different line of work completely) and the meeting was to tell the employees that they were having to make redundancies.
The company ( easy to see this as publicly accessible info) was started fairly recently by her boss. He appears to have just a few self employed people who work under the umbrella of the company. Do quite small

Presumably it has been established that the MP only had one phone with her.

My other half has a work phone as well as her own personal phone.

I would have thought someone working in financial services would need to have two different phones for privacy and security reasons.
Does your other half have a personal picture on their screen saver? NB phone that was found had her picture on the screen saver which is how they were able to figure out who the dog and phone belonged too

According the the anglers there is a "deep hole" there which IMO could mean deep. I think it could be 20ft deep.

My personal opinion on this, which I have stated throughout this, is that the MP drowned after accidentally falling in the River and attempting to find a better place to get back out. While doing this she encountered the "deep hole" and is probably still in there, possibly caught up on some underwater obstructions.

Obviously the experts will have checked this but unless they remove all objects from the river I still think they could miss something.

I still have my doubts this was Nicola on the Ring Doorbell footage

I did find it odd that it was actually the family friend that released the CCTV not the police. It definitely feels like the family and friends are doing their own thing whilst police concentrate on their theories. Jmo.
I saw the ring doorbell pic on the LancsPolice updates page. Not sure if the family/friends then released extra ones

I don't know what she uses as a background for her work phone but that is a good point. Also of course anyone involved in the investigation would have worked this out so my comment was just IMO and probably irrelevant. I still think there is a second phone.

While I recognise the plausibility of 'walking away' , after all no one knows what goes on in another persons head, it would have been much easier for her to drive to nearest mainline station and disappear that way rather than a secretive exit from a field within her home village.
I have no doubt her body will appear somewhere downstream within the next few months.

^ Very good point. If that was her intent, then this would so not be the way to do it. And there's just no way she would have left her beloved dog (and she clearly was beloved, based on PA's 'third child' comment) in such an uncaring and potentially stressful situation.

Whatever happened to NB, basic logic tells me her disappearance was not a planned one.

I can see your point on this - but what would be the motive? To help her get away unseen? Staged for some kind of gain? In cahoots with another person who kidnaps NB whilst she walks the dog? Where did this person (who was dressed the same) go to after staging the items? JMO.
All good questions. No idea about motive in this scenario other than to remove NB. It really would have to be two perps. As for the person dressed as NB, perhaps she stops looking like NB on exit past CCTV/the public. It is far fetched and would take a lot of planning and conspiracy. But then there has now been two weeks of missed time searching the river rather than looking for a crime scene.

My favoured theory is still abduction by person(s) unknown who had been watching for many days, probably in the far field, again with staging of the bench scene.

Thanks yes, I'm on the same page, just trying to filter the facts from the rubbish (MOO) on this thread to get a clear picture in my mind of the circumstances and environment at the relevant time.

I seen a Manchester Evening news reporter (I think) live reporting from scene and he said something about the signal isn’t great here! I’m assuming that (he said he was using his phone to record) he was talking about network reception? So is this to do with his data as obviously no wi-fi? So I was wondering if it would have been the same for NB on works call? Or maybe the reception where she was on call was ok, why make a work conference call if you can’t get a great service signal? Even if you have data does it rely on your actual phone signal because you can’t get wi-if? As I’ve said I’m not tech savvy, anyone enlighten me? Plz?
You’d need 4G or 3G at best to be on a teams call over app

Thanks. That's what I was looking for. A witness who knew NB who had spoken to her face to face who obviously put her herself there in the field.

This is a screenshot from the St Michael's angling club map of the area. It's from the website. The deep hole is exactly where the phone and dog and dog harness were found...

Anglers know a lot about their local areas even apparently including the name of the person who owns the old house. They know what they are doing. If they say there is a deep hole there then there is a deep hole there.
