I’m sure recent developments mean something. Majority direction and extension of deliberation times. Are they a couples of nudges ? Could it mean that if they don’t come to a verdict soon the judge will make an ultimatum or something like that?

I resemble an orc, so if I can carry a huge shield I’m in.
Right so far the ws raiders have me, naked and blue paint, machin with a huge shield and rubber duck on the head and gc105 because we all know the Scots love a good berserker charge. Anyone else? You may adorn your battle dress with an assortment of bath related luxuries and pineappled pizza will be our flag. Oh and sunscreen for gc105, the ws raiders take health and safety seriously.

“He informs the jury that, if they do not complete their deliberations today - court will not sit till 1pm tomorrow”

Do we think there’s anything to read into here?

Probably not but I'm going to anyway lol

The judge apologised I take it back. None too hasty.

Yeah and ya know, it could have been worse... we could've started panicking and imagining all sorts... ;)

Someone was definitely being hasty.

Very poor show, keeping the jury waiting an hour and a half when they could have been using that time to deliberate.

It seems as if everybody there has all the time in the world!

Only siesta is missing ;)

I guess he has to be available to take a verdict, therefore couldn't send them out to deliberate as he wasn't available. Presumably an urgent matter with another case coming his way maybe

Yes, how long does it take to send the jury out? Surely he could have done that first before sorting out his other business.

Or, I wonder, if they took partial verdicts. Its odd the way noone tweeted to say "we don't know what's happening". It was radio silence across all platforms. Which makes me suspicious

Far out, catching up on the last few pages, I was starting to get excited! Alas, just another delay. Nothing to be concerned about, for another "good reason" I'm sure.
I have started to introduce irrational rules to guide my verdict watch. Yesterday, I checked before work. No dice. This morning, I didn't allow myself to peak until I'd been at work for an hour! Can you believe, after this incredible act of restraint, still no dice!
Fingers crossed for a verdict today!

Maybe he was going to discharge the jury and they talked him down off the ledge

I think as time is ticking on and the change to a majority verdict still doesn't seem to have resolved things then they may soon have to reach a point where they find out if there are any cases they are agreed on and the potential of accepting a partial verdict.

We have no idea what the current status is. It could be that they have majority or unanimous decisions on say 20 cases, but not on 2. It could be they have no majority on any cases.

How about taking the day OFF? ;)

Somebody has to make a sacrifice for the good of all! :D

Wonder if today really is the day?

Woke up this morning with a strange feeling in my bones...

...then I remembered I've got arthritis.

I think the only thing we know for sure with this crazy case is that we don’t really know.
Today will be mostly sunbathing as the weather is for one day only !

I do think there’s more to this mornings delays than being let on. I think it’s been a matter relating to this case, not something unrelated.

The complete lack of acknowledgement of said delays by reporters/journalists suggests to me the media were asked not to report until they were sent back out to deliberate 90 minutes later than usual.
