NM taking the stand, defence getting papers ready so that means his defence will be asking questions then? Not the prosecution. Or am I way off?
That's how it works. Defence lets him tell his version, then prosecution will cross-examine him.

The prosecutions case seems quite weak to me, I had hoped there would be more, not sure what I was expecting but I seem to have so many unanswered questions.
I have to go for a bit. Does anyone else want to pick up posting tweets? If so, please can we do the short version as the full tweet screens take ages to load, for me anyway

I think with both the killing and dismemberment taking place in places where the accused and the accused's DNA would be anyway, there's a lot less forensics to rely on than there would be in a situation where a stranger was killed.
I guess that one of them needs to convince the jury that SH didn't participate. NM is toast any way so perhaps he decided to have one last attempt to protect her.Must say I'm surprised he's decided to do it (assuming of course that the BP is right) - big risk of making things worse for himself...
And with none of Becky's DNA being found at all in the bathroom, I don't understand why anyone can be absolutely certain that is where it did take place. Surely there is only NM's word for that?
I know the bathroom mats and shower curtain were found with Becky's body, but it is possible that they could have been taken out of the bathroom to be used elsewhere. Unlikely yes, but I understand what you are saying with regards to their DNA being logically found in any room in their house, so wouldn't be proof in itself of someone being involved. So surely that is the place to say it took place, if you wanted to avoid anyone finding evidence that would link a person(s) without having an excuse as to why their DNA might be there.
