Miss Williams looked up Mr Johnston's mum's house

John McDermott QC said on November 26 Miss Williams had looked up Ian Johnston’s terminally ill mother’s house up on 192.com and Right Move.

Williams claims she was looking at properties in the area.

Mr McDermott said: “What an earth has Betty Johnston living nearby got to do with anything?”

Williams tells the court ‘she was being nosy’.

I think most of us can relate to that :blushing:

Miss Williams has now idea how boots ended up in Sadie Hartley's hallway

Prosecutor Mr McDermott has recapped on the events of January 12 when Williams purchased a pair steel toe-capped boots intended as a gift for Ian Johnson.

Williams claims she gave the boots to Kit Walsh to wrap up.

Mr McDermott said: “How did they jump out from your arms to Sadie Hartley’s hallway?

“I have no idea,” says Williams.

Mr McDermott puts the following scenario to Williams: “So Kit Walsh bought the knife, bought the car, bought the outdoor clothes, bought the tracker and was with you when the stun gun was bought.

“Now she needs a disguise to the commit the murder.”

The court has now taken a break for lunch and will resume at 2pm.

CCTV of outside Miss Williams' house

The jury is being shown CCTV footage of the street outside Ms Williams’ house on the evening of January 14.

A figure carrying a white bag is visible on the street.

Prosecutor Mr McDermott says it is Kit Walsh.”That person is Kit Walsh. This must have been prearranged,” he says.

Williams: “Kit Walsh has not come to my house.”

Prosecution to Williams: 'You're the leader, aren't you?'

On the night of the murder Williams claims she didn’t leave her house because she was ‘ill in bed’.

Yet Williams admits she was captured on CCTV, fully clothed, checking her rear gate.

Two figures are then seen walking down the street near Williams’ address.

Prosecutor: “It’s you and Kit.”

Williams says ‘It could have been anyone walking up and down there.”

Prosecutor: “You are always in the lead. She’s always a few paces behind you. You’re the leader, aren’t you?”

Williams denies being a leader.

Prosecutor adds: “You’re in the Clio ready for your murderous mission aren’t you?”

Williams: “I certainly am not.”

Williams on Sadie: 'I am sure she did suffer but not at my hands'

Prosecutor Mr McDermott brings his cross examination to Ms Hartley’s murder.

“Your feral temper took over,” he says. “’Don’t ****** with me or you’ll suffer’ and she did suffer.”

Williams, denying the murder, responds: “I am sure she did suffer but not at my hands.”

The prosecutor says it was a ‘savage’ attack.

Williams adds: “The attack was certainly savage. I cannot argue with that.”

CCTV shows Williams and Walsh 'coming back from the murder', say prosecution

Sarah Williams now being shown CCTV footage. It shows two figures walking down the street carrying items under their arms.

Prosecutor: “That’s you and Kit coming back from the murder with the outdoor clothes, the boots, the knife, the stun gun and some towels you have used to wipe the Clio down.”

Williams denies it is her. She claims to have been in bed ill at the time of the murder wearing just a top and knickers.

CCTV shows her letting the dog out later that night wearing what appears to be a coat and jeans, prosecutor Mr McDermott tells the court.

He adds: “You were not in bed at all. You were committing murder in Sunny Bank Road. Why were you wearing jeans there when you told police you just had a top on?”

Ms Williams denies committing murder.
