Has this witness said if they outright asked him to be a hitman or is he claiming he had no idea what they were planning?

He says he backed out before knowing what they wanted him to do.

SW seems to be denying that she contacted him at all. So I don't think we'll get any more info on that, because Kit W says it was SW who spoke to him.

Thanks for clearing that up. Wonder if it is true though! Could he be charged with anything if he knew they wanted someone murdered?

This is quite strange about KW thinking SW wanted to write a confession in KW's name but her printer had run out of ink.

I'm beginning to wonder if she is seriously deluded, or if it's all an act.

Am just requoting my post back in the thread ( 261 ) this is from Walsh's diary.

The court hears of a diary entry from August 2015 in which Katrina Walsh says she texted her ex-husband Kevin about Sarah Williams wanting to speak to him about “something nefarious.”

Mrs Walsh said: “He guessed she might want to have someone killed.”

She adds: “Wow, I may get to be instrumental in helping remove the awful woman!

“This may happen! Wow.”

However three days later she wrote: “Kev not going for the idea of being a hitman after all.

“Sarah coming round an we could plot to take the bint out as Kev was a bust on it.

“I’m going to be involved heaven help me.”

She added: “I have no moral qualms, just a serious don’t get caught twinge.”

In September 2015 there was a reference to thoughts of a hit on a motorbike.

From this diary entry it would seem Walsh is saying that Kevin guessed Williams wanted someone killed.
However, on the stand today, Kevin's evidence has not said this.

[h=3]Evidence given on trackers[/h]Mr McDermott, prosecuting, says the pair bought a second GPS tracker after the first one fell off during a test.
Matt Lashley from Lancashire Police’s Digital Media Investigation Unit is now giving evidence.
He says such trackers have their own batteries which have to be charged. He says all location data from them is sent to the company who made them, however the customer can login and access it.
He says a signal on the second tracker was picked up for four days in a car park at Liverpool airport during the time Sarah Williams was said to be on a short holiday with partner David Hardwick.

[h=3]Trial breaks for lunch[/h]The court now breaks for lunch.
The hearing will resume at around 2.10pm when we are expecting to hear evidence via video link from Germany relating to the purchase of the stun gun the crown alleged was used in Sadie Hartley’s murder.

She sounds to be very easily led...almost like she is under a spell. I'd say either in love or in awe.

They definitely had an odd relationship.

Slightly off topic, but this is the third trial in the past year that I have followed where the Jury is reduced to 11 without allowing an alternate to step up.

I think in the recent Kayleigh Haywood case it was very odd as one juror departed on Day Two, which surely allowed a substitute to be added.

Just hope this one doesnt come down to majority verdict. I dont have much doubt Williams will be guilty as, but I wonder if anyone will waver over Walsh's charge.

Court hears accused flew to Germany to buy stun-gun, batons and pepper spray

The hearing has resumed and we are hearing evidence via video link from Germany from Anna Schanz.

She works for a company called Security Discount Germany based in Darmstadt in the south of the country.

She says after being contacted by police in England she looked up the names of the accused and found a photograph of them online which she holds up to the camera.

Speaking via an interpreter, Mrs Shanz says both of them came to the firm’s offices to buy a stun-gun, batons and pepper spray in December last year.

She says they were out of batons so they bought two or three cans of pepper spray.

Use of stun-gun was demonstrated to accused

She says only the younger of the two women, alleged by the Crown to be Sarah Williams, did all the talking, and the older lady, who the prosecution say is Katrina Walsh, was quiet.

She says the younger woman asked about different types of stun-gun and wanted one with a one-million volt shock but eventually bought one a 500,000 volt one.

She says: “She didn’t know how to use it so I showed her, gave her a demonstration and she tried again.”

She says she cannot remember which of the women paid for it but they paid in cash and didn’t want a receipt.

Mrs Schanz says the younger lady mentioned going to a Christmas Market but “other than that they didn’t give me any explanation as to why they were in Germany.”

Witness on identifying two women

Mrs Schanz says she “immediately recognised” the two women when she was shown a photograph of them.

She admits under cross-examination from Gordon Cole QC, defending Sarah Williams, there is no CCTV in the office or showroom and there is no written record of the transaction.

She says both of the women were wearing hats, winter coats, trousers and boots.

Mr Cole asks if she could mistaken about which woman spoke to her about the gun.

Mrs Schanz insists it was only the younger woman who spoke and the older woman “didn’t say a word.”

Accused 'was warned use on human risked death'

The court is told the one million volt stun-guns can only be sold via export and not in Germany.

However the 500,000 volt guns, which are designed for self-defence, are legal to buy and carry in the country, Mrs Schanz says.

She adds she warned the younger woman of the two she sold the device to about the dangers of using it in the head, shoulders or neck area.

Tony Cross QC, asks if he warned her the woman that using it those areas on a human risked death.

“Of course I told her” Mrs Schanz replies.

That concludes her evidence.

Yes, it does appear to be a new trend. I find Walsh as guilty as SW, let's hope the remaining jury do too.

Williams' barrister seems to be working hard to create doubt re his client.

He has a very, very difficult job imo from what we've heard so far ! This police evidence is amazingly thorough isn't it?

ANPR sightings and mobile phone evidence

The jury is now being read evidence regarding sightings of vehicles involved in the case, including Sarah Williams’ Volvo by police ANPR cameras.
These have been mapped alongside ‘cell sightings’ of mobile phone numbers the Crown say are linked to Miss Williams and Katrina Walsh.

Been looking up Stun Guns :shame:

A 1 million volt stun gun could kill on it's own, much more than is needed to disable someone. So they bought a 500,000 volt gun instead, but that seems to still be a powerful weapon, and allegedly this was meant for a female whose physical size was much less than a male.

The DM but an article about these weapons here : http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...criminals-just-90-come-free-pepper-spray.html
