Can I just say that I cannot stand SW's arrogance in answering a question with a question of her own.

It's so slow but usually means that they are either in legal argument or are re-viewing cctv footage in court.

I agree, thing is it doesn't earn her any points. These types can't see beyond their own noses.

Discussing diary entries

Mr McDermott is discussing an entry in Katrina Walsh’s diary in which she says she ‘discussed the plans to off the *****’.

“Given what happened to Ms Hartley this is the most disgusting language isn’t it,” he says.

“A perfectly decent woman who had done nothing wrong other than be in a relationship with Ian Johnston.

“It’s appalling isn’t it?”

“It’s appalling even without it,” Miss WIlliams replies.

I have said critical things'

Mr McDermott: “Can you think of any reason on this earth Kit Walsh would want to kill, herself, Sadie Hartley?”

“I cannot speak for her logic, her motives or what she was thinking,” Sarah Williams replies.

“Did you ever ‘slag off’ Sadie Hartley in front of Kit?” he asks her.

“I have said critical things but there have never been any *****ing sessions,” she replies.

And have you noticed, when she gets caught out and isn't in control she gives the sharp "No". Rest of the time it's " that's absolutely, entirely not the case" etc etc
A version of the lying defendant who also does the typical "I am completely 110% innocent. "

Miss Williams says she was 'shocked' at news of death

Mr McDermott says to Sarah Williams: “You must have sat there for the past six months wondering ‘why has Kit done this to me?”

“You’re not wrong there,” she replies.

“You must have been wanting to know why she’d framed you?” he adds.

“I’ve formulated lots of ideas about that,” she replies.
Miss Williams says: “I don’t watch the news. I haven’t got a TV so don’t follow it.”
She says she was told of Sadie’s death by a member of the Chill Fcatore ski group on Saturday, January 16, and says she was ‘shocked’ at the news.

She says she didn’t text or ring Ian Johnston as she ‘didn’t think it was appropriate’.

“You couldn’t face it in a million years given what you had done could you?” Mr McDermott says.

“No that’s wrong,” she replies.

She says later that Saturday night, she and Kit Walsh watched Mamma Mia together.

“You didn’t care two hoots about what you had done did you?” Mr McDermott says.

“You were there on the bed. Did you sing along?
“Did you say ‘oh Kit did you hear about Sadie Hartley dying, this one is Dancing Queen’. Is that how it went?”

'What you have told us is colossal lie after colossal lie'

Sarah Williams says it was Kit Walsh who took her to the stun gun shop in Darmstadt, Germany and that she was under the impression she was going to visit a museum.

“That’s complete nonsense and you know it,” Mr McDermott tells her.

She says she asked Mrs Walsh why she wanted the weapon and says she merely replied ‘self -defence’.

Mr McDermott finishes by saying: “What you have told us is colossal lie after colossal lie.

“You are capable of standing in the teeth of common sense and lying to this court.”

That is it for today, the court has risen early and will resume at 10.30am on Monday.

Kit was nice, very different to the norm. She was TOTALLY against violence and that is why I chose her to help train my horse. I didn't know Sarah but a another friend of mine does, apparently Sarah knew the man that supposedly abducted her at 13 and almost ruined him afterwards. I wonder if that's why it's been taken off the news reports as he's going to be brought in as a witness? Just can't get my head around it all!

It's certainly an unusual case. Good to have your input, thanks.

And thanks to all those keeping us up to date with the proceedings.

Thankyou kmh, BIB is intriguing. Let's see what develops. ( I appreciate that she and DHardwick started the relationship when she was 17, so it will be interesting to find out about this abduction.)

Do you think Kit was easily led? Rather naive, as well as being as you say, more of a gentle person?

Thanks for your input! Very interesting, I thought the abduction story sounded shady, not sure why.

This is getting more unbelievable as the trial goes on -the absolute brazenness of SW, this is an evil woman... I somehow do not think she is going to crack either. Surely a psychiatric report will have been done on her for the court - she's displaying definite symptoms of some disorder. Am feeling sorry for Kit and wondering how far she was actually involved in the murder?

While I was looking for something else I came across the previous witness testimony of someone who knew Kit Walsh. She said KW had told her that she lost her hair after she was attacked by an ex and suffered brain damage. KW's counsel said are you sure she hadn't told you her alopecia was because she had breast cancer.

Antisocial Personality Disorder - Sociopath.

"Antisocial personality disorder is defined by a pervasive and persistent disregard for morals, social norms, and the rights and feelings of others. Individuals with this personality disorder will typically have no compunction in exploiting others in harmful ways for their own gain or pleasure, and can be manipulative and deceitful towards other people, achieving this through wit and a facade of superficial charm, or through intimidation and violence. They may display arrogance and think lowly and negatively of others, and lack remorse for their harmful actions."
