Shows that a teacher at the school DID say something, didn't ignore/brush aside. But she said a safeguarding lead then spoke to Sara and Sara gave her a different story. A social services referral was then made by the school.
Ms Simmons said that on March 28, 2023 Batool told her Sara had a bruise on her face.
'She said it was a small bruise which had been caused by a pen.
'She said 'before you jump to conclusions again it was just a pen that had made a bruise on her face'.
'It was strange and it felt very defensive and I went and spoke to a safeguarding lead straight after.'
I wonder if this was the first time social services had been contacted or whether there had been previous concerns.Shows that a teacher at the school DID say something, didn't ignore/brush aside.

Seems strange to me too that bruises might show scarring, but I don't know much about medical issues, so googled a bit..My question and it is something from the article that jumped out at me why would a child or adult have deep purple scaring around the pelvic area ?
I had actually read an article about dermatologists and there role in abuse cases it was too graphic to post so this is great as it's not so explicitSeems strange to me too that bruises might show scarring, but I don't know much about medical issues, so googled a bit..
I found the following on the website of a skin cream (hope it's allowed because the best explanation I've found):
"Can A Bruise Leave A Scar?
An interesting question dermatologists sometimes get from their patients is whether bruises can actually lead to scars. The answer to this question is nuanced and depends on the type of bruising and the associated injuries to the skin. In general, most bruising can heal without scarring. However, there are important exceptions.
If the injury that leads to bruising caused a break in the skin, a deep cut, or a gash, it may result in not only a bruise but also a scar. The depth and width of the injury and the body part which was injured are some factors that determine whether a permanent scar develops. Also, if that injury results in a skin infection, scarring is much more likely to occur. "
Underlined by me for focus.
I'm sure the amount and degree of violence used on Sara could have caused more gashes and cuts than we've heard about, including on her pelvic area. In addition, from what we've heard it seems that Sara was neglected and new wounds/injuries were caused before the old ones could heal. That in itself could cause a skin infection because I'm sure the abusers didn't check that their instruments of torture were clean and germ-free before they broke her skin and/or caused deep cuts. MOO I also doubt that her wounds were being treated if infected. JMO Her burned/scalded skin was not, that I do remember tho I don't remember where that was quoted.

Handing urfans defence a golden ticket right there . This witness should have just kept her mouth shut imo she seemed to have no problem keeping it that way when Sara needed her to be her voice
I will have no cushions or pillows left after this trial from punching and screaming into them from frustration
I hope this is not another case of SS not doing their job properly, of missed opportunities that could have saved Sara’s life.Shows that a teacher at the school DID say something, didn't ignore/brush aside.

So we now know that
Caroline Carberry KC is defending Beinash Batool
Naeem Mian KC is defending Urfan Sharif
Who is defending the uncle?
The uncle was allegedly studying at Portsmouth University - I doubt it! He was working at McDonalds in Woking...how could he possibly be miles away at a Uni in Portsmouth?
Did I read somewhere that his DNA was on the bat or some instrument used to hurt Sara?
The youngest child at the time of Sara's death was a baby or max 1yo. The grandfather mentioned e.g. Sara's real brother N. (non-step-brother) carrying the baby about in Pakistan.I must look up the ages of the defendants and when bienash and urfan met . Was bienash a teen when she met him I wonder... beinash is 29 ,urfan is 41 so 12 year gap I think there youngest child at the time of Sara's death was 5 years old and they had 4 kids together so I imagine beinash met him when she was just a teen .
I don't think it's possible to get a visa just by declaring your intention to study. You'd have to provide evidence of being enrolled, I assume. He would have had to pay tuition fees, as a minimum, and tuition fees for overseas students are not cheap, certainly not worth paying just to work in McDonalds. Having said that, universities don't tend to be proactive about attendance and students skipping lectures etc. with the exception of Oxbridge (which has closer supervision and one-one with tutors). It's plausible that he was doing just enough to pass exams without physically attending.I agree. It is more than possible that he put Portsmouth on his visa ,but never turned up. Or that Urfan just made it up when speaking to the neighbour.

They had 4 kids together but there's a set of twins in there, who I think were 6yo at the time of Sara's death. I'd guess they would have met somewhere between 7 and 10 years previous to Sara's death. Not very precise estimate, I know. MOO
idk if it's the case in the UK but in some countries overseas students have to prove they have enough money to cover tuition and basic living costs also in order to obtain a visa. Yes, I believe it's the same, which is why his living at a council house would be doubly problematic for him.idk if it's the case in the UK but in some countries overseas students have to prove they have enough money to cover tuition and basic living costs also in order to obtain a visa. MOO.
I would certainly wish for Sara that no sexual abuse occurred..Unless further information is revealed during the trial ,I think that sexual abuse,if it occurred, would have been mentioned in the forensic reports .

Polish uncle of Sara Sharif urges police to 'catch her scumbag killer'
It has emerged that the family of murdered schoolgirl Sara Sharif in Woking were known to police. Reports say contact had gone back 'some time'.www.dailymail.co.uk
Unfortunately there are bruises in these happy photos.RSBM
Despite the awful written content, I like this article for the photos it shows of Sara! They're mostly ones not linked elsewhere and imo they show a mostly happy playful little girl. I suppose taken before the physical abuse escalated so badly that her father and stepmother felt they had to hide her in a hijab so nobody would notice.
I don't like the photo of her in the black hijab and the one of her where her face is shining with make-up, especially so much of her face, like for a mid-teen to adult, to be almost the only ones we see everytime there's a new article about her. Especially the hijab - that's what her abusers insisted on - and in so doing they were not allowing her her Polish heritage too or just plain allowing her what most other 10 year old girls wear in England.

If you look closely at the photos ,it shows she has some injuries. The one in her red school gingham dress she has an injury on her forehead. In the one with her in the black and white Mickey mouse dress she has bruises on her legs .She looks unkempt in the photo of her in the garden.RSBM
