Faisal Malik's defence has tried to emphasise that he wasn't there as much, he wasn't in a position of responsibility or care towards Sara (this is the key difference between him and Logan Mwangi's mother) and he can't be proved to have done anything (if you consider the prosecution evidence re DNA on belt and bat and uniform thrown away with Sara's things is not compelling enough), so he isn't in the same position as the other two.On that basis surely all 3 are guilty of murder in this case? If it is as you guess and just as I had suspected, would this fluid not have been present well before the day she died ,as the brain injury is suspected to have happened 2 weeks prior or maybe I'm wrong on that timeline ??? Open to correction.I guess it was
cerebrospinal fluid leak because of brain injury

Urfan mentioned in his statement that himself and malik weren't particularly close and when his brother came to live with him it wasn't out of any closeness it was out of family duty . Imo urfan taking the blame was discussed between the 3 before they absconded and in Pakistan with the two brothers family and most probably it was decided to protect malik the younger son . No point losing 2 sons to a life sentence.Faisal Malik's defence has tried to emphasise that he wasn't there as much, he wasn't in a position of responsibility or care towards Sara (this is the key difference between him and Logan Mwangi's mother) and he can't be proved to have done anything (if you consider the prosecution evidence re DNA on belt and bat and uniform thrown away with Sara's things is not compelling enough), so he isn't in the same position as the other two.
On the other hand he lived in the house, was part of the escape plan and has done nothing to assist the court in finding out the truth about what happened, so personally I think he should be guilty at least of causing or allowing the death of a child. But we haven't heard all the details so of course we aren't in the same position as the jury.
As much as I hope the jury reaches the best possible verdict, I’m concerned about how long it’s taking. Could it be that they’re not unanimous and are still working to reach a consensus?
Which could mean some/all of the members of the Jury are not convinced of some/all of the trio's involvement in Sara's death. JMO
Is anyone else thinking the same - or is it just me?
Yep!Looking at the sentencing remarks in that case, Angharad Williamson was found guilty of murder because she knew the violence was happening, didn't do anything to stop it, didn't call an ambulance, and took an active part in the attempted cover up. Sound familiar?
Agree with fingers crossedI guess U and B murder, M allowing
Do we think there being 9 women is an advantage in this case? Can imagine how emotional it must have been imoWednesday, December 4
"The jury of 12
of nine women and three men
was told by the trial judge Justice Cavanagh on Tuesday
that they were under no time pressure,
adding that everyone in the trial deserved their
“complete attention and thoughtful consideration”.
He also asked that they try and reach unanimous verdicts.
Today,
the jury remained out considering the verdicts on the three defendants
who all pleaded not guilty to the charges of murder and and causing or allowing the death of a child."
I guess U and B murder, M allowing
I guess:
U - murder
B - manslaughter
M - allowing the death

Yes I do think we need a reminder of the horrific injuries Sara endured. Some of quite an unusual nature too .I wonder why the Judge introduced manslaughter charge?
Hmmm....
Of course, I support Prosecution with 3xmurder,
(fingers crossed!!!!)
but looking at this situation realistically
I think U is the main villain:
psychopathic, unhinged, brutal addict and pathological liar.
Monster with capital M.
He was maniacally beating his OWN daughter with heavy cricket bat, breaking her bones, strangling her and damaging her hyoid bone.
Murdering her day by day.
He must never leave prison.
I agree with Sara's grandmother 100%.
He doesn't fit in civilized society.

You are right and if you pay full rent and receive no benefits then you can move anyone in and you don’t need to inform them. You can have visitors in Council/housing association home but there are two issues - one did him being there make them over housed? and secondly if they got any sort of benefit they may not have been entitled to them with Faisal working .
