Sara attended St Mary's Primary School in Byfleet from year two until until April in year five
Ms Chambers said Sara's classmates had created a buddy bench and a special award in her honour since her death.

The school's Sara Singing Award was set up to find the "singing stars" of St Mary's.

"We've got a lovely music trophy to award that person at the end of the year, and that will be something we'll do every year to remember her,” she said.

The school also held a memorial ceremony following her death.

During the emotional event, a white feather fell from the sky, which Ms Chambers took as a sign that Sara was looking down on them.

“Part of the service was children sharing memories, and the theme that ran through all of their memories was her singing,” Ms Chambers said.

“Her favourite songs was Memories by Maroon 5 and Count on Me by Bruno Mars.”

Both songs were sung at the service.

Whole life tariff or sentenced to a minimum of time to serve (i think the record is around 37 years).

Connor Chapman ( Elle Edwards murder ) 48 years.

We can hope

The maximum sentence for the offence is life, but the actual sentence will depend on where the judge finds Malik to be on the scale of culpability. I think he'll find Malik to have High Culpability, because under that category is -

"Failure to take any steps to protect the victim from offences in which the above factors are present"

Those factors being serious cruelty with weapons being used.

Where death occurs as a result, the start point for High Culpability is 9 years, with a range of 7 to 14 years. There's likely to be more by the way of aggravating rather than mitigating factors, so with the time already served on remand taken into account, I think Malik is probably looking at around 11-12 years.

Thank god!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rest in paradise Sara

This makes me so angry. It's unbelievable. No wonder Urfan thought he could get away with murdering his daugther when he got away with so much!
Yes, it's just appalling he was able to access her after any of those let alone all of them.

Reading this makes my blood boil.

It sounds like the school pretty much did all that they could - they followed procedures and followed the correct channels.

The safeguarding team at the council and social services let Sara down - how could they allow for Sara to be home schooled twice?? On the back of the staff at the school spotting bruising?

RIP Sara

Just been listening to her favourite song as announced by her school

Beautiful.

October 2019

Sharif applies to Guildford family court for custody of Sara. Sara has accused Domin of abuse, it is alleged during the trial, and it is understood that Surrey county council supports her return to her father because that is Sara’s preference.
I wonder if this is true, or did they just take his word for it all.

Beautiful.
Very poignant words. Sara's other favourite song.

Headlines from my country's (Poland) MSM

"Sara Sharif's father and stepmother are to blame for her death.
The court had no doubts.

'Kind of like a maid'

The neighbour had the impression that Sara was treated 'a bit like a maid".
She was seen doing housework, including laundry, and caring for other children.
'She didn't run around the garden or laugh'."

"Burns, fractures, bites.
Father and stepmother guilty of torturing 10-year-old Sara."

"10-year-old Sara died from multiple injuries.
The court identified the guilty.

The story of the tragic death of 10-year-old Sara, half Polish, half Pakistani,
shocked Polish and British public opinion.
As reported by the BBC, the girl's father, stepmother and uncle have just been found responsible for her tragic death."

In an emotional tribute to her child, Ms Domin said today: 'My dear Sara, I ask God to please take care of my little girl, she was taken too soon.

'Sara had beautiful brown eyes and an angelic voice. Sara's smile could brighten up the darkest room.

'Everyone who knew Sara will know her unique character, her beautiful smile and loud laugh. She will always be in our hearts, her laughter will bring warmth to our lives. We miss Sara very much. Love you princess.'

I'm not asking for anyone to confirm it because I know it's not our business, but I hope Olga has her son back and I hope she and he can heal and have peace.

I saw that there will be an inquest and a child safeguarding review. I know that health, school, children's services etc will be investigated. I really hope that the family court decision will also be looked into. Handing children to a parent who has a long history of violence against women and children makes no sense.

This video is actually of Beinash Batool and Faisal Malik giving their 'no comment' interviews. He needed an interpreter. His allegedly assiduous attendance at Portsmouth University doesn't seem to have helped his English.

I’m so glad they’ve been found guilty

I’m just reading the BBC report increasingly appalled by the fact that any children were allowed to live with Urfan.

The report makes it clear that there is ANOTHER older sibling/half sibling. Referred to as Z in the report. If only Sara hadn’t been returned to Urfan.

Quote from the link below

“Social workers recorded "unexplained injuries" to "Z" and another of Sara's siblings, referred to in court as "U". Before Sara was born there were further allegations of assaults against the children, all were denied”

After the initial period in foster care in late 2014, Sara who had still not yet turned two, returned home with "U". However, "Z" never went back to the family, instead remaining in care.”
