GUILTY UK - Sara Sharif, 10, found murdered in house, Surrey, Aug 2023 *POIs ARREST* #5

Grim reality of living with a murderer:

"Olga said Sharif would sleep with money all the time and she had to plead for cash for food for the children.

She added:
'He told me that he dressed me and no one would help me if I left him because I don’t know the language and I have never worked here.

I went to pick up something from the shop and he wouldn’t let me out. I was working nights cleaning the pubs.

They kicked him out of McDonald’s (where he was a shift manager) because he was stealing money. He didn’t have a job. He took all the money from me.

He took £4,000 from (benefits back payment). I took £100 to buy clothes for my kids and he hit me because I took the money.

Sara was living with Olga from 2015, when they fled to a domestic refuge to escape Sharif’s violence.

Friends say Sharif took accusations made against him
and threw them back at Olga —
and used the same tactic in his trial by blaming Batool for Sara’s murder,
before admitting he too beat her up."

From article above!

The local authority brought care proceedings for the children seven days before Sara was born. A case summary noted: “There have also been allegations that the children have been subject to physical abuse by both parents. The children have been exposed to domestic violence.”

But on 17 January 2013, six days after Sara’s birth, the first hearing for care proceedings for the children concluded: “Whilst the guardian is satisfied that there may be reasonable grounds to believe that the children are likely to suffer significant harm … The advantages of the children remaining at home should [be] weighed against the potential harm to the children of removal, particularly to Sara as a newborn child, before we have a full assessment and understanding of these children and their parents ability to meet their individual needs.”

Months later, in May 2013, Sara’s sibling Z was burned by an iron. When social workers visited their home, they found no lightbulbs or bedding in the children’s bedrooms.

I give up.

The BBC also reported on the appeal against the anonymity order for judges in the family courts, with background on what happened then.

I think it's worth noting that once again the report emphasises that allegations against Olga were never tested in court. We now know Urfan Sharif has a horrible history of coaching children in lies and violence.

'Despite concerns, Sara was moved to her mother's sole care under supervision in November 2015, while still having contact with her father, which remained the case until 2019.

She then moved to live with Sharif and Batool, with reports that this followed Sara making accusations of physical abuse by her mother, which were never proved.

A judge at Guildford Family Court approved the change, with Sara moving to the family home in Woking.

It was there that she was hooded, burned and beaten during years of abuse before her death.'

I just can't believe she was taken away from her mother, surely staying with mum would be a safer option? No one believed Olga? Did father manipulate poor Sara and make her lie about the abuse she suffered from her mother in order to get the custody? Who is here to blame?!

I imagine that the eldest boy might be classed as an adult when buying air tickets.
So 4 adult and 4 child tickets.

I did wonder if they would have been upgraded in order for it to be easier to monitor them and prevent them from being identified . It could also have made the arrest easier.

Ahhh yes - that would make perfect sense.

Well, that's true, the media these days are a disgrace.
However I can see that naming people would certainly put them at risk of being attacked. Not because of the media though.

The eldest child at least seemed terrified of her Imo. There were issues with Sara's care before she could even talk

This reads like Olga agreed with Sara going to live with US and BB:
____

Sara had been living with Batool and Sharif since March 2019 after allegedly reporting being abused by her mother. The couple later applied, with Domin’s consent, for Sara and her sibling to live with them.

I guess
these murderers will stay for the remaining sentences in the same prisons they were on remand.
Belmarsh for males and Bronzefield for females.
The question is if they are placed in general population.
I see no reason for coddling these beasts.
Imagine B living as if in a hotel,
in separate room with a bathroom and nice cosy yard to play cards in

A cell with other beasts is appropriate IMO.

Unfortunately he will be on a VP wing, not sure about her as I have no experience with female prisons...

Another report of this story:

The newspaper reports result from a very detailed judgment published by Mr Justice Williams yesterday on the disclosure issues. I haven't read them in full yet but anyone who wants to see his arguments can download them here:

I've no idea whether the fact that he has now given his reasons will have any impact on the appeal.

When you read that judgment you see how much more complex the issues are than is reported by the press, including the impact of further revelations re the original proceedings on siblings and other relatives.
There is more than I recall seeing before on the allegations made about Olga but I still think that there is so much evidence of lying and coercion from Urfan Sharif that it's impossible to comment fairly and we should not be doing it, in my opinion.

He says in respect of the journalists' point:
' "the public interest in naming the judges involved in the Historic Proceedings is exceptionally high; equal to the public interest in being able to name the Third and Fourth Respondents;"

64. I confess that I find this such an extraordinary submission that I caution myself against dismissing it out of hand. That a judge who in what appears to have been an appropriate exercise of their judicial functions on the evidence and recommendations before them and in compliance with the statute and case -law placed a child with a parent and stepparent who nearly 4 years later murdered her generates the same weight of public interest in being named as the murderers is risible. However, I accept that there is a significant public interest in naming the judge who made the decisions. The ‘what’s in a name’ point undoubtedly applies with some force but see below as to the possible downsides. Attaching a name would draw attention to the content and personalise the story.'

The judge maintains in para 72 that Batool's abuse of Sara seems to be a recent development and could not have been predicted by the earlier court :
'The sentencing hearing confirmed that the abuse of Sara amounted to a sustained campaign of torture which is so far removed from the severity of the allegations made in the historic proceedings that a predictive causal nexus between those earlier allegations and Sara's murder is a difficult trail to follow - although not impossible - with many potential breaks or kinks in the chain of causation leading back from Sara's murder to earlier examples of violent behaviour by the father. It seems likely from the sentencing remarks in relation to Beinash Batool no trail exists and that her collaboration in the abuse of Sara was a recent development and so the identification of Judgment Approved by the court for handing down her as a protective factor in 2019 was prima facie founded on reasonable grounds (or at least those disclosed or visible) at the time. The Muslim community came together at the UK's oldest mosque for a funeral ceremony for Sara Sharif. Large crowds descended on Shah Jahan Mosque in Woking for a Ghaibana Janazah, a traditional Islamic funeral prayer, for the 10-year-old who was murdered by her father and stepmother at their home in Horsell.

The mosque was crowded full of men and women, with many struggling to fit in the room to join the communal prayer. After the Janazah head Imam Hafiz Hashmi told the crowds: "Families and friends share the responsibility of looking out for one another, and we must do everything in our power to ensure that no other child suffers in such a devastating manner."
