New England Cable News did a story this morning about other missing persons in VT. Brianna Maitland was a strong focus...with Brian Rooney's where abouts being looked at.

The article on Rooney's lethal tactics reminds me of Andrew Luster (Max Factor heir...). He'd drug his victims and film himself while they were 'out cold'...

Makes you wonder about Maura and Brianna; and any other missing students/young women from that area.

Rooney pleaded not guilty to one count of repeatedly sexually assaulting a former girlfriend over a three-year span and another count of inciting a felony for allegedly trying to hire someone to kill the woman.

This is the page from Vermont State Police missing persons site.This is the page that was shown on NECN;

NECN (NECN did that video broadcast from Burlington)brought it up because when BPD held a press release (10/12/2006 post #60 on page 3 of this thread,I posted the page and post # so that you do not have to search all of the posts) the question was asked by someone if Rooney was being looked into pertaining to Brianna Maitland who is missing from here and Maura Murray from another state.It had been said that Maura may had been headed to Burlington,Vermont.


Rooney is back in our facility and is again in close custody with no cellmates and no contact with other inmates.

Rooney was charged this morning with aggravated homicide.

Based on DNA and other factors.


Michelle died of strangulation during a sexual assualt and blunt force trauma.

Brian L. Rooney has been charged with aggravated murder in the death of Michelle Garnder-Quinn, according to court documents filed this afternoon.

Rooney is accused of strangling the University of Vermont student while intending to kill her or intending to cause her great bodily harm and did so while perpetrating a sexual assault, the court papers show.
Burlington Police Department has not updated the site yet.Maybe it will be later tonight.

The affadavit is so sad to read. What she must have gone through...she fought.

I don't think he will be able to argue the DNA. It's 1 in 240 quadrillion.
