Not same car anyway as one towed today, but not WA plates on it unless some sort of specialty plates.

I did see a '''splash''''' of green ((made me think of the tree on an Oregon plate KWIM)) Cali is white with red

I haven't been on these threads much. Yes the family knows him. He is a friend and yes lives in the park. The community knows who he is. I believe he and his family attended the vigil last night. Was going to try to look thru the photos I took.

Memorial next Saturday at 1. Public is invited even though the wording in the Kitsap Sun makes it seem otherwise.

<3 Rest in peace baby girl. <3

Thanks. I was able to find something on Twitter that led me to Facebook. I did see a photo posted of him at the vigil. Will link if it ever becomes appropriate.

I feel sorry for his family, and for the other kids in Jenise's family. No sympathy for the parents right now...too mad about the neglect.

I feel for any parent who has lost a child.

Very interesting comments on that news link. I remember reading about a guy who was a friend of Jenises or her brothers and he had a pic of her on his cell phone and it and was confiscated by the FBI

This was a friend who is not the perp. But he knew the perp, as well as Jenise and her family.

Just jumping off your post (it could have been many others) but shouldn't we wait till after the trial before stating as fact "it was him" or "he did it"?

I believe she meant 'it was him' who was arrested. ;)
I dont think she was declaring his guilt.

Please remember that comments on social media (such as Facebook and Twitter) that do not come from MSM are rumor. Same goes with comments under online MSM articles. Please don't bring that content here.

Bumping this up. I'm not firm on the rules of what is allowed or not but I don't think the suspects name has been released by LE, so I'm worried some of the info being posted is not within the TOS. I just don't want us shut down!

I wonder too. Along with a comment from a teen in the area about how "normally" they make sure she gets home safe. I immediately wondered "ok... was wasn't normal Saturday?"
An unplanned trip to BK and a promise to drop her off at home in the car perhaps? AFTER dropping everyone else off first???

" We normally wouldn’t let anyone go home alone, so this is odd."

I've felt that Jenise didn't make it home Saturday night. If that is the case and the parents misled the police, for whatever reason, by claiming she was in bed at 10 pm, would they be in trouble for that?
Not blaming, just curious about the rules in that regard.

It would probably lead to them being charged with neglect or something. I'm not sure a "false statement to police" would come since they didn't know who killed her, and they were cooperative otherwise.

OFF TOPIC. my parents taught me the exact same thing. apparently once when i didnt want to be carried around a store i started yelling "this is not my mommy, this is not my mommy!". to this day it's one of my moms favorite stories to tell lol

My sister did this when she was 4 and I was one. My mom was in the checkout line and wouldn't get my sister candy, so she started with that noise and this well meaning woman tried to remove us from the cart. That went over like a pregnant pole vaulter...

It was the "I am glad he was caught, but what a waste of a life. Two lives lost, many damaged." I meant.

And like I said, it was just one post I used to make the point. Not sticking up for any alleged murderer, or having a go at people, I just wondered if we are allowed to talk in these terms following an arrest rather than a conviction?

I think we are all glad a suspect was caught. If the police have enough to say he is the suspect and arrest him for it, we can comment about him doing it. We don't have to say allegedly. I mean, Casey Anthony was proven innocent in a court of law and we still say she did it.

Fair enough - we obviously have a different legal system in the UK. We have "Innocent until proven guilty", and alleged does have to be used if a case hasn't been proven.

Newspapers etc have been sued for not doing this, when the trial produced a not guilty verdict. Thinking back to the Joanna Yeates case and her landlord's arrest (released without charge).

Yes, in the court of law. But not on this site. Once someone is arrested we've never been told we have to use "allegedly".

I am speechless.
WHO DOES THIS TO A SIX YEAR OLD????

My prayers to both families and to all who loved that sweet angel.

I think the US courts have the same system. Websleuths isn't a court though and no one has even mentioned a name here as yet as he is still considered a minor. I am very glad he has been caught and can do no harm to any other child and I would imagine LE have plenty of evidence DNA and the like to make this arrest.

With a DNA match, innocent until proven guilty is a done deal. IMO
Judge should sign papers and gulity party should head straight to prison. there is no innocent explanation. The only reason they don't imo is because the public want a trial to try and give the DP.
It's a waste of tax payers money imo.

"Although there can be a defense to DNA evidence such as mishandling or performing the test wrong it’s hard to refute the test results. If the justice system put in place a structured, secured method of testing and handling DNA evidence it could save taxpayers millions by shortening the trial process."

If your DNA is a match you are going down the hatch...
