slowly its trickling out. i have thought whatever was found in the car would indicate she was murdered. i bet their was bio evidence he was trying to burn. and i think he threw her down an embankment or something because of his "from a fall" story. currently it seems they havent charged him yet w what was done to her, but they have w what he did to the son.

Excerpts from the article, new details:

"Days after Martinez-Cosman vanished, her son -- who has special needs and is in his 20s -- said he was attacked by a man he didn’t know.

In an interview with detectives, her son recounted being awoken to the sound of a man knocking on his bedroom door on April 2. He was not able to articulate whether that man was Gitchel, but described his attacker as being in his 30s or 40s with facial hair and glasses.
The man told her son that his mother had been in an accident and that he was going to take him to see her at the hospital. Her son then got in a car with him, and “drove around for what seemed like hours,” court documents say."...

..."In an interview with police two days later, Gitchel had “numerous visible injuries on his body, including many cuts and scraps on his hands,” as well as bruises on his face, arms, and body.

Police believe he could be linked to a jewelry theft at at a Seattle Costco on April 4 as well. The next day, police tracked him to a Shoreline Costco, where he was arrested.

In court on Friday, prosecutors argued that hours after the Mariners game on Friday, Gitchel’s phone was tracked to a remote, mountainous area in King County hours after he was last seen with Martinez-Cosman."

Omg, so similar to this case. Her body was found near Snoqualmie Pass. I hope they caught a serial killer.

Well this is a shocker, murdered Diana Davis's phone was also at the Mariner's stadium when she disappeared.

“We found, through investigation, that her cell phone was last in Seattle, just outside Lumen Field, Mariner stadium, on July 27 at about 7:46 p.m.,” Nasworthy said. “And that’s the last known contact anybody had with her.”

As others have noted, something seems off about the weight of Leticia Martinez from the photos. I surely hope she is as heavy as suspected, if he took her body up to the Snoqualmie Pass area, hopefully, he couldn't move her too far from the road. Of course, there are many remote roadways in that area. If he is the one that murdered Diana Davis, I wouldn't think he would take LMC to the exact same place.

[...]

Martinez's son was able to get outside of the vehicle and call 911 while Gitchel fled the area, according to investigators.

Police found Martinez's Honda CR-V on fire hours later that night.

[...]

Gitchel initially denied knowing Martinez but later admitted that he was at the Mariners game with her. He told investigators that he doesn't know where Martinez is and that she left the game after she "ran into some guy."

Gitchel was taken into custody after he was identified by a Costco employee for wearing the same clothes as a suspect in a theft incident days before.

Maybe he was going to kill the son and make it look like a murder suicide? You never know what these evil beings have brewing in their head.

This case also reminds me of Ingrid Lyne.

Video:
The man arrested in connection to her disappearance indicated he may have traveled to Ellensburg in the time she was reported missing.

During questioning, when asked about his activities within the last week, Gitchel told officers that he had gone to Ellensburg on April 2 but other than that had been in the Seattle area.

When asked if he had attended any concerts or events in the last week, Gitchel said he had not. Court documents say Gitchel had a Seattle Mariners attendance wristband on at the time of his arrest, but he took it off and put it in his pocket before his police interview.

He was asked specifically if he had attended any Mariners games this year and he said no. He said the wristband was from his friend.

He was shown a photo of Martinez, and said he didn't know her. He then said he may have seen her at Costco but didn't know her.

He was then shown the selfie that Martinez had taken of him at the Mariners game on March 31. After that, he admitted that he know her and that he had been there at the game with her and that he was given the wristband upon entering the Diamond Club at the game, court documents explained. He then told officers that he didn't know where she was and that she left with another man.

He then asked for an attorney.

Lots of detail here, especially about the attack on the son.
What an evil, cruel [insert expletive here]. MOO

From the article:

At some point in the struggle, the unknown male realized he was unable to overpower (Leticia’s son) and now injured and bleeding he told (him) that he has a gun, although (he) never saw one. The male then began telling (him) that he was doing this for his mother and that this was to spare him from being committed to institution because of his conditions. The fight turned into more of an argument and dialogue between the two inside the vehicle. (Her son) still had access to his phone, so he tried to call his mother, but the call went directly to voicemail. When that didn’t work, he called his father … who lives in Texas.

Just FYI and I don't mean to overload this or the other thread, but Patricia Soto just reminds me so much of Leticia.
There are some locations and victim appearances in common. Not much known on the Soto case.

I was looking at this court document and just feel confused. IMO, he is just a bad seed. Gitchel Prior Redacted | PDF
Habitual liar and thief who graduated to alleged murderer I guess.
From his pictures that have been posted online he appears to be the sort of guy who blends in. Nothing screams alert, to me, when looking at his images. Pause, in a few but not danger. But his actions are brazen. Not sure if I read it in that linked potential burglary post where he was caught by surveillance camera's but I did read that he actually returned to the scene, took down the camera's and proceeded to break into the owner's shed.
I did see an article about him during the time of covid. It was talking about the precautions he had to take as his job as a bus driver (?) It was behind a paywall but before I got cut off from the article it showed a picture of him with more weight on than the pic's I've currently seen. MOO
JMO but I think there is more to his criminal history.
