Was/is Shawn abusive toward Billie?

When LE tried to classify Hailey as a runaway, Billie was vehement that this was not the case. If she was "in on it", wouldn't she have insisted that Hailey would not have run away for "about a minute" before appearing to grudgingly give in to LE that their theory is correct... maybe even arranged for some sort of communication from Hailey "I'm fine, don't look for me" via mail or even myspace to one of her friends to account for her "change of heart".

The problem Billie had IMO is that Hailey was close to her dad and he could have debunked the situation had she claimed that Hailey had run away. I also dont think that Billie would have wanted anyone to think there was anything wrong in that house that would make her want to run away.

Incidentally..i know that Billie claims she told the cops that Hailey would never run away but...has that been confirmed by the police? Because at the end of the day with all the lies Billie has told..who knows what she told them at the beginning.

I don't believe Billie is scared of Shawn. If that were so, she would have had a PO from the get go. She has been protecting him all along. With each statement she makes,she has shown discernment and disconnect towards her daughter nor has she told any truths pertaining to her daughter. From her last statement she couldn't even call her by her first name "Hailey". It is despicable the way she is behaving with her snide remarks and glaring hatred towards any one that searches for Hailey.

She is using this PO to protect her lie she told LE. They have caught on to her deception and defiant nature when it comes to being with Shawn. At the beginning LE asked her to not have any contact with Shawn but she held steadfast trying to protect him.

There will be two arrests coming very soon. IMHO

I truly believe that the P.O. is a condition of release on bond considering that that is part of why she was arrested and LE have stated that they have told her numerous time to stay away from SA.

I bet it will come out that is the courts that have had her get the P.O., not her... thats if there even is one.
Also in my state, a condition of bond from bondsmen is a P.O. on anyone you were involved in committing a crime... EVERY case no matter what.

This is why I believe she did not harm Hailey. Wasn't she asking for Hailey to come home in the beginning of all this? Wasn't it SA who said something like "your mom isnt mad at you"? That always struck me as very strange. I think she was so insistent to LE that Hailey wasn't a runaway so they would look for her.

She isn't scared of SA. The PO is thrown back into the mix because the consequences she has caused herself are becoming serious (the arrest).

Shawn deserves whatever he gets and i have a feeling he will be serving many many years in prison but..IMO the true sociapath is the one who doesnt care about her daughter and only about her awesome boyfriend and who cant tell the truth to save her life.

Incidentally IF Billie genuinely doesnt know what happened to Hailey..then her behaviour truly is shocking..and those kids deserved so much more. I just wish she had let Hailey go and live with Clint like she wanted to.

Personally i dont believe that is the case at all BUT..even if it was...the fact that he is so into child should be a reason why any sane person would distance herself from him or the fact hes sleeping with other women. Even if she doesnt think Shawn didnt do anything the simple fact is her daughter has been missing for three months and any normal mother who loved there child and hadnt seen or heard from her in all that time would NOT act the way she does. They would be teary..they would be upset AND most of all they would be cooperating with the police who are trying to find her.

Of course the other thing is..she may know it wasnt Shawn who did anything to Hailey because she knows precisely who did do it and for that reason alone..she may feel hes no threat to her so she hasnt distanced herself from him ( til now at least).

But how could she believe no harm has come to Hailey? She hasn't been seen or heard from in 3 months? How could she believe her daughter was safe?

It is quite common, in murder cases, for the perp to make calls to the victim and leave 'worried' messages on their voice mail, and to look into the news camera and say ' Please Come Home, we love you.' Even after they have killed said person, they will leave these phony messages. I think that is what those messages from Billie and Shawn were, imo.

And the reason she did not want people to believe she ran away is that she is really into her own reputation. She would rather be the 'victim, and have a child abducted by a stranger, which is what they tried to set up, imo.

Worse than that, worse than falling on deaf ears, IF Hailey had complained about Shawn being inappropriate I think Billie would have been ANGRY and blamed Hailey. I HAVE SEEN THAT HAPPEN.
I think Hailey was wearing baggy clothes and NOT wearing make up as a way to AVOID Shawns attention to her. She did not welcome her new womanly figure and she wanted to keep him away from her, partly because BIllie was angry about that attention, imo.

I absolutely agree! ..and when my mind really goes in that direction..I think something along the lines of what you described above COULD actually even be what happened. Hailey just started sleeping in her room...BJD could have caught Shawn in her room and....<Total Speculation.......but something I could certainly see happening..I think it's even possible that maybe IF something like that were the case..Hailey could have threatened to expose them...so many horrible scenarios..

In the beginning I really didn't believe BJD had anything to do with what actually happened to Hailey..but was involved in a cover up and knew what happened. Now..after listening to everything BJD has said and observing her behavior, I'm not sure who actually caused Hailey harm and who did the covering up OR if maybe BOTH are equally culpable in their actions... JMHO...

I remember Clint telling her that she wouldn't be in trouble..don't remember SA saying anything like that, but he may have IDK..It wouldn't matter to me anyway because I believe before Hailey was ever reported missing, a script was already prepared. Not to mention, for me one of the reasons everything they have said doesn't ring true because I have always felt like they were saying what they *thought* they should be saying when ones child is missing. Problem is they don't think like most people and weren't able to pull it off...moo..

Just to set the record straight about Billie asking Hailey to come home in the beginning, no she wasn't.
Everyone was wondering about that, for quite some time
Finally on NG she told Hailey to call 911, because the police took her phone, that was her first plea to Hailey.
No, we love you, we miss you, we are looking for you, we want you home.
I believe it took quite a bit of prompting to Billie to finally show some concern for her missing daughter.
