When Was Haleigh Last Seen?

  • #221
I never saw a cast....

RC did not have the bandaid on his neck the first day. It appeared the second. He may be prone to boils. But his hand cuts and scrapes sure got my attention. He says he hurt them when he punched the back door after he found Haleigh was missing. Sorry, can't buy that one, rc.

LE said there was an imprint (?) on the door where he hit it. Well, I didn't see any door damage from the videos shown. I have seen a pic before of him with the same hand and forearm all cut up and scraped. He must have one heck of a temper.

I believe there was a fight...with who..don't know. LE did say the cousin was there. RC denies it. I imagine JO has contributed some valuable information. If nothing else, it may show rc is lying.[/QUOTE]

(BBM)
Whisperer, what is Jo obligated to tell LE since he hasn't been charged in this case? Jo can refuse to talk to LE if he chooses to can't he? Does Jo have to give LE an alibi?

Nancy Bump lives on the neighborhood and knew something had happened when she heard a helicopter circling overhead before sunrise.

Bump says search dogs led investigators to the river near her home.

"They walked right down to the end of the dock and ever since then they have been looking in the water," said Bump.

Tracy Phillips lives next to Cummings’ mobile home and said officers with police dogs walked the 200 or so yards from Cummings’ home to her dock on the St. Johns three times
She said investigators asked to search her house and went through every room, including closets.

I'm going with the dogs. I'm no expert here but these were blood hounds that were initially used in the search and from everything that I've read, these dogs will follow the persons most recent scent first. Regardless if HaLeigh had previously walked down that path at one time to go fishing or she played and rode her bike thru out that park - the dogs are gonna go toward the most recent scent of her. I sure don't recall anything being said about the dogs repeatedly going back to the front yard - where HaLeigh was said to have been playing, supposedly riding her bike and doing wheelies before going inside for the night first... JMO - (which IMO means the dogs had the most recent trail)

I just want to see if I have this straight . . . .

- We've got a missing child
- The events of the day that child went missing are shoddy, at best (inconsistent statements and questionable attendance record)
- The alledged last person to see her can't come up with a straight story
- The night she went missing there was a disturbance near her home near the last time she was seen
- That disturbance led LE to 116 Tyler
- Called back to where disturbance was on report of a missing child
- Father of missing child has mysterious scratches and bruises
- Alledged last person with child won't cooperate with LE
- Family van, which had been secretly used that night, has fresh scratch and possible blood inside
- Cadaver dogs hit on dumpster next to home and the pond behind the home
- Scent dogs led to RR tracks where a witness saw a truck similar to the family's
- GF of father gives a very specific place to search where a red rose has been placed
- LE finds that location exactly as GF described
- Family of missing child has scattered like roaches, engaged in suspicious behavior and been arrested for varying criminal activity
- There's a letter from friend of GF containing important information
- There's a letter from an unknown source containing very detailed information about where to find Haleigh
- The Fathers GF has failed miserably during various tests

WHAT'S IT GOING TO TAKE TO ARREST THESE PEOPLE?!?

We have very little info in this case, yet WE can put 2 & 2 together. I don't get it.

Which 2 do you have?

Who?

When?

Where?

Why?

How?

Right now, seems to me the worst defense atty in the world could just point to Ron or Misty or Teresa or Annette or Lester or Donald or Katrina or CrystalC and say "He(she) did it, not my client."

[sorry for not including the out-of-town relatives in this list, but they aren't lying about work hours, school attendance, employment, etc.]

nomoresorrow, your posts always leave me thinking. And, I'm with you on the dogs and their performance. These dogs are not personaly involved in any crime they are brought into. They just do their job, which is to sniff out the direction and path the victim took or was taken on.
And, with the constant treck to the water I think we might realize Haleigh is gone for good. A body of water would be an ideal (hate to use that word) place to dispose of a child's body, especially when it's a waterway where a body could be taken further out from shore and away from the entry to the water.
Until now, and your post, I hadn't given the nearby river much thought, but now I am. Thanks for the post.

Yellow, yours is the absolute most important question on this thread. Just what is it going to take to solve Haleigh's disappearance?
Have you ever seen the movie The Postman Always Rings Twice?
There's the original movie from the early 50s and a remake starring Jack Nickalson. In the movie, a couple conspired to do away with her husband in a planned car wreck. What turns the case around is that the lovers are seperated and persuaded by the cops to turn on each other. She specifically begins to feel betrayed and angry with him from what the cops tell her about his testimony.
We know that Ron and Misty are now divorced. And we don't have any recent idea of their relationship. I do believe they are covering for one another. I think it will take time, but I do foresee Misty turning on Ron. I think she needs to see that if she's involved in any way, coming forward with information will shine a favorable light on her if she tells the truth to LE.
I still can't believe Misty is soley responsible for whatever happened to Haleigh. Ron has to be involved somehow. I can't imagine him protecting her alone, there's got to be something there that is protecting him too by him backing her story.
I think LE needs to work one against the other. Heck it workes in the movies, maybe, just maybe it might work in this case. of course JMO.

az you may want to go back to early Theories threads where there is much discussion (by some very knowledgable posters such as txsleuth, jwg etc) of dogs, water etc. As w so many other threads tho these tend to get buried beneath a mountain of posts over the many long months...

IMO....

Haleigh was last seen outside on the porch....

Before "dinner" and "sleeptime"

(The wet blankets seemed to put Misty over the edge.)

Whisperer I think the blood in the van came from the altercation on Green Ln prior to the 911 call. The blood may belong to Hank, Jo, or Timmy, or maybe even Ron. Along with a scratched van maybe there was a crash/accident and someone got hurt.

Wasn't Ron wearing a cast on his arm in interviews after Haleigh disappeared? Wasn't there a bandage on the back of his neck? Didn't he have scratches on his hand from "punching the door"?
Imo, Ron had too many bruises following Haleigh's disappearance. Which further proves my point about there being an altercation that night prior to the 911 call.

When did Ron go get the cast put on? Anyone?

Hi y'all, it was truly a cold night and cold morning in my house. Finally had heat around 2:30 pm today.

I remember the discussion about a cast on Misty's arm. I remember that it was explained away as a sleeve, and not a cast.

I'm convinced that this is a bodiless homicide case. Sadly, because it involves a child victim, there is no way to substantiate HaLeigh's death with the use of records showing inactive credit cards, cell phone, banking accounts, ect,. as children this age don't have these things. Inconsistent statements and/or information provided to LE by the parent/LKP to have seen the victim, that is proven to be false by LE can be added to their collection of accumulated circumstantial evidence that, at some point, hopefully will meet the standard of "beyond reasonable doubt." I sure hope that LE hasn't spent the past 10+ months ASSuming that they'll find the body or someone will eventually confess - what a huge mistake that would be! :banghead:
Man, would I like to know what LE has for circumstantial evidence... JMHO -

BBM: That makes two of us at least and I'm sure there are many more who would like to know what LE has.

Didn't the bus driver say he saw her that Monday getting off the bus?

Who knows? We have been provided so much nonsense over these very long 10 months.

Anybody know where this tidbit originated? thx

I believe so, but we also have a copy of Haleighs attendance record that shows she was present on 2/24

The LVA results revealed the pee blanket story didn't happen.
And we have no REAL proof anyone saw Haleigh alive and well eating dinner on the front porch..JMO

~snip~

When police arrived at the mobile home in the Hermit's Cove area of Satsuma, they were greeted by a frantic Ronald Cummings. When deputies were finally able to calm him down, he explained that he had last seen his daughter at about 10:00 p.m. that night before he left for work. When he returned home, at about 3:45 a.m., his girlfriend had told him that his daughter was missing.

I don't recall seeing this bit of info before. I wonder if the time is a typo or if it's some of the truth inadvertantly being revealed?

I think there are several type-o's in the article, they stated that Crystal (bio mom) traveled from Georgia. She lives in Baker County Florida.

It would be very interesting if it proved to be true.... Lt. Greenwood, seems to let things slip sometimes....
