Ok so what if it's a "client problem" and Jose just laid it out for Casey, like, it's YOU who is up for DP, it's YOU who have insisted on all those preemtory challenges, now we are down to ONE! it's YOU who needs to let us do our jobs properly.

I don't think either of them can *fire* the other.

I think they had a big big spat.
I don't think that the judge would accept his leaving because they had a spat. No. Whatever reason JB gave, it was compelling enough for JP to comply.

Just wishful thinking I guess. Wonder what else it could be to halt the already lengthy jury selection and start of the trial?

Maybe they found Caylee's bio father? I'm thinking that would be a reason to stall the trial. just speculating.

I've been thinking about all this and have come to a few conclusions............

JB is still a part of the defense team. JB can't quit, but KC can fire him. If she had fired him, jury selection would have continued this afternoon with one of the other attorneys on the defense team taking the lead. The jury selection did not continue because the lead attorney, JB, was not there.

That leaves 3 other possibilities...............

1. JB left the courthouse in Clearwater to go to an appellate court to file a motion to over rule HHMP's jury selection process.

2. A plea deal is being negotiated.

3. JB had some sort of personal, private issue that necessitated him leaving court for the day.

In the poll for this thread, I voted for a stalling tactic.

Could someone please provide a link to where KC is saying Just do it or whatever?? Thanks in advance!

  • #545
Ya know - we're all seeing that ICA did tell JB to "do it". Could "do it" mean that LDB offered JB 'something' and he relayed it to ICA and she was telling him to "DO IT".

OMG please no.

Or JB told ICA I'm going to quit and she said do it.

With the HJBP .....time is precious to get this going...........
the reason has to be SUPER important to waste hours of court time.
If it wasn't SUPER IMPORTANT, I am positive HJBP would behead someone at this time period........

Respectfully --

As strict as HHJP has been about moving this along, I don't see him cancelling the rest of the day due to JB/kc disagreeing or kc being difficult.

I feel it was all to delay, and no ICA was NOT crying! She fluffed her eyelashes? No tears.

any locals have 10pm news on?

I'm shocked that the Anthonys have been quiet during all this!

Good Point ... because both CA and GA have a very difficult time keeping quiet.

The only "noise" we heard from them in the past couple of weeks has been through their attorney, and about possible lawsuits.

There is a REASON why the A's chose NOT to go to Jury Selection ...

Hmmm ... I wish I knew the REAL reason they chose to stay away during Jury Selection ...

I'm thinking it is BIG whatever it is......... hmmm...... makes me wonder if Caylee's father has not been found.

If this is the case, I can see this trial being delayed for a while.

I don't think it is a plea deal for ICA, plus the state would have to accept the deal & Casey would have to tell the *T*R*U*T*H* & *E*V*E*R*Y*

detail and she is Not capable of that whatsoever. JMO.

If you ask me...this whole thing is BS...either get into the business of having a real trial or leave.

Yes, CA/GA always lash out on the news........so quiet......not a word.
IMO, they watch this on TV very closely as we do.
Surely Orlando news is around them?

Court is in recess till tomorrow. Judge asked Cheney if he discussed with his client and he said yes and KC was crying.

If KC was crying then there is no doubt in my mind that it had something to do with KC.

She wouldn't be crying if it were about anyone else.

What difference would it make right now if Caylee's bio dad was found?
That wouldn't be an emergency, would it?

It might be if they just found him.

Haven't read entire thread - has this been posted as a speculation yet?

Via a Florida friend: It is reported Jose had another court case scheduled in Orlando that he couldn't/didn't reschedule and had to go tend to that this afternoon. She nor I know if this is what happened or not. Makes about as much sense as anything else I can come up with. MOO

That would really make HJBP mad!

I don't understand Casey crying if she's going to plea, DP would be taken off the table and she'd get LWOP, It seems to me she would do just find with that, so i have no idea why she would be crying over a plea deal if that is in fact what she is planning to do.

Plus she's a huge liar so she'd just be telling one of her lies so i don't know why she'd be crying over that.

Oh yeah she would cry...she thinks she will be fully acquitted of all charges.
