I was hopeful based on his behavior at the last hearing that he might pipe down but it sounds like things are off to a terrible start. SMH. Maybe this is just first day jitters and he'll calm down after these initial outbursts? I mean, we know he's capable of being calm when he wants to be. If I put my armchair psychologist hat on for a second, I'd say he's dysregulated right now by the enormity of the proceedings and his total helplessness in the courtroom. I feel like the typical narcissists come in there like they know it all and can persuade anybody. He doesn't seem to have that. He's more of a borderline personality.

The judge ordered him removed from the court multiple times during the proceedings, in which Brooks complained about paperwork, claimed he didn’t recognize his own name and claimed to be a "sovereign citizen" not subject to the court’s jurisdiction, according to FOX 6 Milwaukee.

After another outburst, Judge Jennifer R. Dorow warned that she would hold Brooks in contempt of court, and eventually Waukesha District Attorney Sue Opper suggested a deputy place Brooks in a gag, according to the station.

So he wants the whole panel struck. Good lawd! Judge said he’ll be allowed back in the courtroom tomorrow. I’m really curious if he will behave better tomorrow. I can’t believe he laid there on the table like an elementary school kid in detention!

Ha. Check item 12 of his .pdf
“Please provide proof defendant is a U.S. Citizen”

I would like proof that he is an actual human.

Seems like he’s behaving the same way today. I guess I underestimated the SCs bs! We can prob expect the same throughout the whole trial! So infuriating!

It is absolutely absurd!

And, considering the victims of this criminal slaughter, it is an outright shame that this behavior is allowed in our courtrooms.

Judge Dorow best reign in her courtroom. (IMO)
"Others" are watching...

What can she do? He probably doesn't care what she hands down for his actions because he knows he's going away for a long time. Would it violate his rights if she put him in a restraint chair with only a hand free?

Wish i had an answer! The Justice system has turned into a circus. This didn't happen overnight, and isn't just in Waukesha County.

The judge’s hands are tied. He has the right to defend himself so long as he’s deemed mentally fit. What’s not really being discussed more fully is the fact that in Wisconsin the public defender’s office has refused to work as stand-by counsel. I think stand by counsel might’ve helped some!

But I can def understand those who feel like a defendant shouldn’t be able to so effectively stall the process! And this demonstrates that we give defendants too many protections!

Opening statements are scheduled for Thursday. Tomorrow is a court day, with limited appearances by both sides and the judge. I saw ( On Twitter somewhere?) that there will be some live coverage tomorrow.

Holy crap! So we’re off to the races with this clown show tomorrow morning?? I’ll be glued to the screen of course.

Edited to add: just saw opening statements on Thursday. Grrrr. There will be some hearing at 2:30 EST tomorrow, cameras with audio in the courtroom now that jury is selected. “Housekeeping matters” hahaha that should go well!

I've not been following this case until I turned on the TV and it's showing the 'housekeeping matters'. What an absolute mess! He's been sent to a neighboring courtroom since he's so disruptive. He has an 'objection' sign he gets to hold up. And he likes holding it up.
