Yes of course it depends on the medication. We don’t know what meds he had been on in the past so it would be all speculation. I’m not a doctor so I can’t comment on the effects of any particular medication. Apologies if I spoke up when I shouldn’t have.
No worries. In the end, Darrell knew what he did was wrong and tried to hide it and that's all that matters. :)

I think we may have to wait some time to get sentencing underway. I have to wonder by Monday what DB will cook up now in his continued desperation. That hearing should be interesting. I hated that we could not even see him cuffed and taken out. Will Mom convince him to beg for a hospital prison to ask for treatment? Stay tuned...I think in between interviews Mom is busy.

Oh for sure DB is not finished yapping just yet. I anticipate more Sov Cit BS, along with a dash of the slimy snarky smile that is DB. Shiver me timbres, but he is such a creeper ( besides a fool and a monster).

All his nonsense...whatever it will be on Monday, will be done in the name of..."I DOAN' WANT TO GO TO PRISON !" In others words...continuing to delay the proceedings. He will cry foul when the State puts on the record, the number of witnesses they will call. He will more than likely push for the very last date available he can. I also would love to be privy to his 'list' of potential witnesses for impact statements on his behalf.

It will be interesting, but also headache enduring. MOO

For those not familiar with the case against Kimberly Kessler for the murder of Joleen Cummings, here is how this judge handled Kessler. Start at about 27 minutes

Yes! Love his non-reaction! I think the issue with DB is he was self-representing. So while the judge couldn’t do what this judge did here, I think she could’ve done the Grey Rock move like this judge did to a lot of DB’s outbursts instead of arguing and explaining over and over!

I've been watching Uncivil Law "Sovereign Citizens Explained (Meads v Meads Canada)"... educational and humorous.

Does anyone know if the courts could add any more charges on Darrell brooks for his disrespect and disruption to the court and judge? im hoping the judge tells him exactly what he is which is a murderer. And gives him the most punishable sentence and no parole ever. I wouldn’t think I would have stayed calm if I was a witness to him hitting and killing a child and killing was it 4 dancing grannies? I would probably lost it in court and told him exactly what I thought of this monster. I’m glad that the judge did everything in her way possible to prevent any chance of a retrial. she was amazing and I can’t wait to hear what she says to him when sentencing and what she really thinks of him. I’ve started watching videos back from day 1, and now up to day 8. Those poor witnesses having to answer to the man who was running over everyone. That would be so traumatic for them having to relive that nightmare. My heart goes out to all victims of this act by one man who had no care for life.

I feel so sorry for this kid. I can't imagine how brutal it was for him socially when others found out what his father did. I really hope he can get treatment and support and get in a good head space in spite of his vile father.

As I understand it he has 8 children out there...I doubt he has any contact with any of them. That pathetic closing did not have one once of truth in it. The child he had with EP he left at 3 months and has not seen. Come on who is this guy kidding...certainly not the jury or victims.

Can't edit but I can only confirm 3 known children. Boy he has had nothing to do with any of them per various reports. There are probably more but not sure where the number 8 came from...I think the state mentioned it. Saw some transcripts from child support hearings and it was one excuse after another. This guy needed to be off the street but never should have taken this massacre.

Yup. He knew what he was doing while he did it and remembered it just fine afterwards (he said he honked the horn, then later he tried to change his appearance and hide). He didn’t have a psychotic break, he just didn’t care. Being on probation already, he was running from the cops after he hit his girlfriend and couldn’t have cared less about running people down. The parade-goers were nothing but speed bumps to him.

During trial he could control himself when he wanted to and demonstrated he was mentally competent. Whatever mental illnesses (personality disorders) he may have are immaterial to the outcome of the trial and whatever sentence he’ll receive. He can get pills or whatever in prison.

The City of Waukesha

Over the past several weeks, many in our community have had to re-live the trauma of last year’s Christmas Parade tragedy. We know the pain and horror that this has brought for so many. Today, we are glad that the trial is over and that justice will be served for all those impacted by this tragedy.

“I am thankful that the jury found the defendant guilty on all counts,” said Mayor Shawn Reilly. “We can now re-focus on taking steps forward as a community and continue the healing process.”

We are grateful for the work of everyone at the Waukesha County Courthouse, all those who came forward as witnesses and testified, and everyone in the community for supporting one another these past few weeks during the trial.

We are especially proud of our City of Waukesha Police and Fire Departments and how they responded in the hours, days and months following the tragedy and how they presented themselves during the trial.

“In the nearly one year since this tragedy, there has not been a day that our community has not grieved,” said Police Chief Dan Thompson. “The victims' families as well as our first responders continue to deal with the lasting effects of the horrors of that day. We are grateful for the support that has come from all over the world, and we ask you to continue to keep all those involved in your prayers.”

“This decision can now allow our Fire Department and our community to take another step on our pathway to recovery from this horrible trauma,” said Fire Chief Steve Howard. “We thank everyone for their support for our Department and City.

Despite extremely difficult circumstances, we have continued to let the world see how wonderful a community Waukesha truly is.

As a community, we still have a long road ahead filled with difficult days. This will be especially true as we approach the one-year anniversary of the tragedy. However, as we have experienced the past year, we know that when we stand together, we remain #waukeshastrong

It won't happen but Judge Dorow should be grand marshall of that parade this year. Hopefully prior to the parade DB will be tucked away in a max security prison forever.

As a reminder, when referencing victims of this horrific crime, please use their initials only!

THANKS,

Mad

Perhaps Darrell Brooks or his Mom should have paid for an expert to testify as a defense witness that DB did not know what he was doing that day and did not remember what he had done. Since he did not, the jury only had his word that his acts were not intentional. The jury voted on the evidence presented. And I only mentioned his Mom because she is stating in interviews that he did not know what he was doing. JMO
I was reprimanded for my words about his mom and I do apologize for going against forum rules I don't even remember what I said atp so I will tread lightly. This was my point after his opening and closing. He did not mention his mental status when he half tried to throw the unintentional defense out there. He didn't mention it in his closing either none of what she said and she was so adamant. I feel its all excuses. If she was his victim, I hope she uses this time to cut him totally off and heal.
Whoa! I don't know how to feel about this (not that it matters).

Is this a full repeating of the cycle from the judge's rulings to with the mom enabling.(?) She called the police and then plead to the court for mercy. WHOA!!

As we see here, she IS definitely a victim of her son's rage as I suspect she was one of DBs as well.. I feel this may have even been a scenario between DB and his mom over the years. JMO

which BM did he attempt to run over? This is a lot.

Just saying after the video.. I know Judge D's Mr. Wanted to wring DBs NECK whew! Happy she is otherwise a happy woman, wife and mom; she had a large capacity to withstand DBs attempts to drain her dry.
