I did follow your link to the database and tried to filter results by Native American race. We do not exist, apparently. We are invisible.
Then why do we never hear of cops killing white children? They don't hesitate to kill minority children. And where was this cop's taser? Where were his de-escalation techniques? He went directly to murdering a child. No other adults around. GTFO with "he just wanted to defend himself!"
Here is the post Im referring to blue sneakers. [emoji1360]

Media coverage in the US is rare. There were 29 Native Americans killed between 1 May 2014 and 31 October 2015, yet only one death received significant coverage within the circle of the top 10 US newspapers. That case was Paul Castaway, a Rosebud Sioux man from Denver who was shot dead after he threatened suicide. Another man was incorrectly defined as Latino.
27 of those deaths received no coverage.
Can you link to it? I don't recall anyone saying white teens are not killed by cops.
This is a reflection of an endemic problem in the perception of non-white people when it comes to the administration of justice, Chase Iron Eyes, an attorney with the Lakota Peoples Law Project in South Dakota, told Mother Jones. The group put out a report called Native Lives Matter in February discussing various ways the justice system disproportionately impacts Native Americans. He said the US Department of Justice needs to address police violence against Native Americans and that Castaways death is only the most recent example of the problem.
You can tell theyre shooting out of fear, he said. If its not out of hate, for some reason theyre pulling the trigger before determining what the situation actually is. Something does need to happen. Somebody does need to take a look and we need help.
Wasn't there a case exactly like this summer of 2017?
I do support police very much so and it’s probably because I have so many family members and close friends who are in LE. However, that’s not why I am so adamant about defending them in these cases. It’s bc people automatically turn it into a racial issue, when our country is in a state of racial tension. I’ve posted multiple cases where white teens were killed by cops, hell, I even posted the Wapo directory for anyone to filter thru the civilian gunshot deaths by cops. But none of my posts get acknowledged. Instead the people who say “well how come cops don’t kill white people” are thanked and cited. It’s just frustrating because there is a lot of misinformation spread. Unfortunately, when white people are killed by LE, justified or not, there isn’t a group rallying for justice for the deceased the way BLM does. I’m trying to tread as lightly as possible and am not looking to offend anyone.
How fast does someone think a police officer can conduct a psychological assessment on a subject heading toward him with a large knife?
Normally suicide is considered a tragedy. In this case, it seems like people are saying a 14 year old boy had it coming. Too bad. He deserved it. How horrible is that?
Being such a tight-knit community it seems to me that whoever called the cops in the first place should have known if the 14 year old had mental problems and informed the dispatcher of that.
He called the cops and reported a description of himself. A 300 lb man walking down the street with a knife.

Does that particular Reservation have Tribal police? If so wouldn't it be their jurisdiction? Has the 911 call been released and was the cop's body cam switched on?
