Going back to the 911 call,
I’m not sure if I read it or LE said it but there was “commotion in the background” could it have possibly been jayme arguing with the murderer?

Mollie was an adult though...free to come and go, if she liked.
Yes. But the circumstances didn’t lend themselves to that theory. It was theoretically possible, but not at all likely.

Can you give me a link? I’ve only read that (as per the police call log) JC was down inside the front door, not how his body was positioned. TIA

I would like to see this as well, Facing down or up can change a whole bunch of theories.

Body position up or down has not, to my knowledge, been released. The other bit is from here:

Source: CNN.com - Transcripts

FITZGERALD: Our officers responded, pulled into the driveway, and saw an open door and then saw what they
believed to be feet.
BANFIELD: How far -- how far -- yeah, how far in the house was Denise Closs? If James Closs was found at the door, and as you just mentioned, I think that`s the first I`ve heard of this, sir, that when you`re officers responded, they could see his feet from the driveway sticking out of the open door of the home. Is that correct?
FITZGERALD: I don`t know exactly where they -- when they picked him up on site. I don`t know if they pulled in the driveway or when they exactly saw them, but the door was ajar.

I have wondered for a while now why Jayme is not listed as being abducted or kidnapped, just that she's missing. Is there any confirmation anywhere that Jayme was actually in the house that night? Is there any possibility that she might not have been there at all?
I wonder if it's a technicality with the definition. Technically anyone who was definitely kidnapped is also missing, but because they may have no evidence she was kidnapped, she is "only" technically missing at this point, because there's still a chance that she ran off out of fright after the murders? I'd assume even if she went willingly with someone else, it'd be considered kidnapping because she's a minor, though. I looked at the FBI site and it lists her under a category called "Kidnappings and Missing Persons."

The fox news 9 reporter also stated this:

Absolutely. But, just because Jayme is a minor doesn't mean that she was abducted.

wonder if they saw feet or did he have his shoes on? would they still say just feet if so?

A little theory came to me earlier when looking at maps. All of Jayme's activities are nowhere near her house due to where they live. I can only assume this means that she goes to school on the bus and her parents drive her everywhere else.

Could it be possible that a predator has been watching, waiting for the right time to grab her but it just never came as she's driven everywhere? The predator grows more and more frustrated as he really wants her and then eventually the obsession becomes too much and he snaps and just decides to grab her from the house at whatever cost.

I do think it's a predator that is obsessed with Jayme, however the one thing I couldn't understand is the sheer violence hence my theory. The majority of predators are opportunistic cowards, they don't generally go into homes shooting mum and dad to get the kid.

I attempted to find out how the FBI classifies or uses the term "abduction" or "kidnapping" and ran across this OIG report. Fascinating how the FBI works to improve themselves.

That’s the thing. As an adult, the standard is higher in regards to calling something a kidnapping, as a person could be missing on their own volition.

As a child though, especially under these circumstances, it is odd that they aren’t calling it a kidnapping.

Clearly that’s what happened.

Oh I agree. I am just trying to think of some kind of explanation, even if it makes little sense to me.

This link will help many understand the terms of the Lost, Kidnapped, Abducted and Missing child.

“The Lost, Injured, or Otherwise Missing child is defined as a child who has disappeared under unknown circumstances. The incident may range from the child wandering away and becoming lost to the child being abducted, wherein no one witnessed the act. These circumstances sometimes involve “foul play,” where those reporting the incident are attempting to cover-up a crime involving the child.”

i would say feet either way.
I ask because to me if he still had his shoes on it would go along with my theory he was followed home or ambushed just as he walked inside and shut the door.
or
if he was bare feet then maybe molly (the dog) was barking and he went to the door and it all unfolded.

Those are some sobering statistics at the beginning of that report. :(

i agree with your theories but i don't think the wording in the interview can tell us one way or the other.

Yes, they are. I was not at all prepared to lose Mollie Tibbetts - I really believed some delusional person was holding her all that time.....

When LE said during press conferences (not sure which one exactly) that he says jayme was still alive, do you feel that they may have seen something on camera to suggest that she is still alive and that the actions of others would lead them to believe that they would keep her alive?

The police made it very clear early on that they know Jayme did not run away.

Imo they know this along with knowing she was there when her parents were being murdered because of the enchanced 911.

That is why they consistently have said she is in danger. Imo

I doubt it. They are following a playbook that seems to be standard in cases like this.

I would expect them to say they believe she’s alive, even if they have absolutely no evidence that she is.
