They were driving around multiple times. This doesn't sound like EMT/FD
You're right. Most likely locals that are known to follow calls.

The police dispatch log: 911 dispatch log: Call made from Denise's cell phone, door kicked in

From the dispatch log:

ATTEMPTED TO CALL THE LAND LINE AT THE RESIDENCE BUT THE PHONE HAS BEEN DISCONNECTED.

My kids disconnected their landlines. I can’t remember what was said when I accidentally would call the landline.

The number is reassigned at some point. How long after disconnection is it reassigned?

I wonder how the interent works there. I had to have a landline. My kids switched to using their cell phones but they pay a lot for it.

Interent access is an issue in rural areas. I wonder what the situation is there

Thought same. If our landline is off the hook though, caller gets voice mail. If phone is truly disabled, I’ve heard messages like “This number is no longer in service.”
I have a landline with no VM set up. When I take it off the hook you get a busy signal. If the lines were cut it would just ring. "disconnected" typically means phone company turned your phone off and you get that recording. I guess the landline is not a huge factor. I just keep scraping my brain on this case.

I urge people not to post names or addresses from the call logs. The people or locations are extremely likely not to have anything to do with this. It will get the thread shut down.

Maybe the officer just couldn't wrap his head around this at first.
This. Easier to conceive of someone wanting to hang themselves in a barn or shoot themselves than of a murderous rampage happening in a rural community.

The neighbor said she saw the school bus bring Jayme home. Maybe the caregiver only picked her up at school when Jayme attended events after school.

Do we know where her closest bus stop is?

I hope the bus drivers have been looked into simply as a matter of routine investigation.

Wasn’t Ariel Castro a school bus driver?

Cheyenne/JLR - members of LE or ambulance or fire department that weren't needed? If not, then those two were very well known in order to be called by their first name/initials.

I was able to find both of them on social media. It's probably best not to dwell on them as they are civilians, who probably wanted to see what was happening.

Wrong house scenario? Arrested woman living in house where arrest made?
Right house scenario? Parents had gambling debts? Those casinos in WI and MN are Native American owned and run as I recall. Visited one in Arrowhead of MN with some friends once. All moo.

I can see this happening (shootings) with gambling debts (as a what if case). What I don't understand at all, with this scenario, is WHY take little Jayme?

I'm guessing that though this source didn't obscure information with _____ like the other one, they at least removed last names and abbreviated minors. I would guess that LE has first/last names for both people and they just weren't published. But like others have said, my assumption is these are people with scanners. Although it does seem strange to drag a minor out in the middle of the night...? Maybe an older minor (16/17).

Not that it really matters or makes a difference but I think they could also be volunteer firefighters/EMTs. A lot of times in rural counties fire stations are not staffed 24/7 (especially over night) by paid employees and instead volunteers have scanners at their houses and when a call/tone goes out they hop in their personal vehicles and (depending on where the call is) go straight to the call in their PV or meet at the fire station to take the fire truck.

It's likely they are locals who have a scanner and heard calls come through. There is a local facebook group for my county in WI that does this very thing.
Because its a small town, LE linkely knows the vehicle/driver/
Yes, lots of rural people have scanners. I grew up with one in the house. It was a fairly normal thing back then.

My guess would be that the 911 with no person to speak and no answer when called back might be a common indicator of a possible suicide until more is known.

But I just can't see the part about answering the door meaning that James answered the door to the arriving officers. It must mean that they assessed the situation and determined that the unresponsive 'down' man had answered the door to the perp. Especially since they note that the door was kicked in.

Has there been any information if a train passed through around the time after police arrived? Possibly a slow freight?

Have we outlined/ followed the layout/route of the train tracks?

Here's the thing. How did LE know that Jayme was missing or just staying at a friend's or relative's house? Maybe the latest non-reputable website posted is correct in that they know it was Jayme that yelled for help.
Don't know, but it wasn't until almost an 2 1/2 hours into the call that we get.

Nothing about Jayme prior to that.

We call these people rubber-neckers.

Nighttime lows often don't occur until just before dawn. Of course this can be different as fronts move through but in calm weather that would generally be true.

———————

The daytime high was 43 and the low was 29. A high of 43 in the day is chilly enough.

Hanging around the house at night in that temp would certainly imply dedication that would not be for a random burglary or home invasion.

“On Thursday, the FBI announced it would be sending a digital flyer nationwide of Jayme, “out of an abundance of caution.” There are currently over 100 state and local FBI agents across the U.S. working to locate Jayme.“

Or if the phone was taken off the hook? Would that be considered "disconnected"?
No - would be reported as "no answer" or "busy tone" (if no call waiting associated with phone number). MOO
