It's not just about doing the job well or having a clean work history. At my dad's former company they fired a man that was continually arrested for DUI. He did an excellent job at work and didn't show up at work intoxicated. They offered him drug counseling twice and on the third arrest that made the newspaper they fired him because it came out in the paper where he was employed. Their reasons were.
1. Other employees that might be injured due to his negligence might claim he was intoxicated all the time and the company knew about it. In dealing with other employees with substance abuse problems they might cause problems when they are dismissed and they bring up, "Oh well you let the alcoholic stay. I think I should get as many chances as they did!"
2. Customer perception that they ran a business with intoxicated people. Problems in shipping might be blamed on alcoholism in the workplace. May lose customers.
Taking that into account I can imagine if she becomes directly involved in patient care again and something happens on her watch. It might be assumed she was responsible and the company held liable for hiring such a person.
Administrative. It might be assumed by the patient/customer/family that Sin couldn't even keep her own accounts straight due to family members and seemed pretty unaware. You might have patients asking that their accounts not be handled by her. If this happens often she will be thought of as a liability.
