Jumping off your post CJMG :seeya:

If the family cannot speak about details that are relevant to Aliayah's disappearance or other personal details about her that would only be known by close relatives, why have a Facebook Q&A? Didn't they make themselves "fair game" as another poster put it? I realize social media sites like FB can be helpful in getting the word out there in missing children cases. But I don't believe it should be a replacement for print or tv news media.

The criticism of them was somewhat warranted, IMO. Right after someone started asking relevant questions the whole thing blew up. I asked three relevant, slow pitch questions. My questions and those of a few others were never answered because the "family" was too busy investigating someone they viewed as a "problem poster" and responding to her and each other.

A couple of their answers varied according to who was answering and the explanation given regarding photo's of Aliayah, defied all logic. I could go on but I'll hold my tongue as it really serves no purpose.

I guess you had to be there in real time, to completely understand.

I'm patiently waiting for the PC Killeen promised this week. Even if we don't learn anything new or substantial, I'm confident LE is making progress.

BBM...is there a press conference this week or is the family the only ones saying that?

We actually found it amusing, in the end, that she couldn't find a way to ban me and so assumed I was not "real". Accusing me of being family because I "knew too much". What?! I left because I realized not one family member was going to volunteer any information and was there for their own reasons, not Aliayah's.

I'm sure the LE is on top of this and precious Aliayah will be found.

Thank you, Lynn, I thought of that. I am not local, but one of my close friends is.

you might still see an edit at the bottom of that post. If it's there you can edit it out. If not, let me know and I'll ask a mod to delete the name for you

I edited my post to remove your name. Can you edit your quote of mine too please?

I couldn't believe they were actually trying to run a background check on you:floorlaugh:

The FBI may hold a press conference later this week or early next week with any updates to the case.

Another news outlet quoted Killeen last week, not taking the time to go back and find it. He also mentioned a possible reward and release of public information.

That's right. I forgot all about that. After last night I'm not sure what is real and what is fantasy anymore in this case.

I'm not sure which quote you mean, I'll go back and look. Yeah, and if you run a search on my name (which they obviously had), it turns up a bunch of stuff. So I'm not certain why that one lady said she ran a search. Too funny.

Argh! Apparently you can see the original after editing? I tried.

dillysmom- while we are all basically harmless here...you may want to go back and remove your real name from your earlier post if you still can......You need to be a member to post here...but anyone can read what you say. In this case...you may want to stay unseen, especially if you are a local.

Dillysmom11!! VERY nice to "meet" you-!! And while "some" people might not have liked the questions you asked, or claimed you were rude, I saw just the opposite in your posts. I saw a person that really CARES about a little girl, that needs a voice , that needs to be found!!

And them sleuthing you-was a first!!

I want to thank all of you who take the time and make a sincere effort to get the answers. All of you went there, asked questions, and did it in a respectful manner, imo.
Asking the "hard" questions doesn't mean disrepect, it means you care!

Our love and our respect is centered around one little girl, Aliayah and that is exactly where it should be!

Oh yes, I watched the train wreck and sat back thinking, WHY did they even do this? I saw people offer "sound" advice, ask some tough questions, and some fairly easy ones..and imo they didn't do so great. I respect the fact there are things they don't know and things that they can't answer. It would have looked much better if they would have just said-hey-i can't answer that one, instead of deleting questions and cursing women (rolls my eyes).
And while I won't pretend to know the families feelings, I have seen many parents who have lost children, search day in and say out UNTIL that child is found!! And I don't like the fact they tried to pass pics off that they claim were taken this summer and we all know that isn't true. And a gag order? C'mon, that would be a first...

I will put my faith in the FBI and I too believe that they are making progress. If most missing children's cases are like solving a 100 piece jigsaw puzzle, little Aliayah's case must be like solving a 1000 piece puzzle.

Aliayah, I hope one day you know that so many people are praying for you and love you!!

I apologize :(. I honestly wasn't purposefully trying to ruffle feathers, and was frankly surprised at how and whom they ruffled.

No ruffled feathers here! Welcome to the forum!
