Agreed. I still cannot believe that this happened to Gabby and that the police did wth they did, which was basically NOTHING to help her--it still grinds my gears something awful :| [....]

All IMO:
SAME!
I know the family is attempting to hold Utah accountable. I'd hoped they'd also bring action against North Port FL police. Even if it turns out unsuccessful, at least there'd be a public airing of their atrocious actions, or lack of. I actually feel physically sick thinking back to how NP police mishandled this case.
They continually fumbled from even before Gabby was reported missing, all the way up to after Brian was found. And probably after, but that's when I had to stop following the case.
Like many, I watched it all unfold in real time. North Port was over their head, and their response to their blatant mistakes was to dig in their heels, show arrogance, screw up more, and trot out their condescending, scolding spokesman.
It was too much for me. I hurt so much for Gabby and her family, and was so disheartened and frustrated by North Port police, I had to completely stop following the case. As one of countless empathetic outside observers, I realize that's a privilege we have that her loved ones don't.
Earlier, I even had to block posters here who would fault Gabby and/or defend Brian and his parents.
I do follow and show support on Gabby's family's IG accounts- including her Dad's acct and her family's Gabby Foundation page.
