No the Krim's did not own the apartment and it is still empty. :(
They are doing another Fund raiser this fall, The Children were very Artistic and the money goes to poor children who can not afford to study art.
As you know they had a baby boy last year he will be one year this fall. :)

The nanny accused of killing two children in the bathtub of their Upper West Side home two years ago said she was sorry for what she had done, according to court papers released on Friday.

The nanny, Yoselyn Ortega, 52, has pleaded not guilty to killing Lucia Krim, 6, and Leo Krim, 2, on Oct. 25, 2012, in a bathroom while their mother was away from the family’s apartment picking up her third child from a swimming lesson. After stabbing the children, Ms. Ortega cut her throat in a failed suicide attempt.

The court papers say she told the authorities that Lucia tried to fight back before she stabbed her and then killed her brother. She used at least two knives.

“Oh my God, I’m sorry,” she said, according to the court papers. “I’m sorry for what I’ve done. Relieve me of my misery.”

The last I heard she was still claiming she didn't kill them. Now she's saying she did but she's still pleading Not Guilty! WTH is wrong with our 'justice' system? :stormingmad:

When I Google my address that case still comes up, It is still vacant.
Who after reading this would want to live there?
Stupid landlord should gut it out and reconstruct the unit.
But but but - dumb and stupid :) it serves them as a write off at the end of year :(

Well... She is crazy but she knows exactly what she did.
I can't believe this case is still nowhere... this makes me sad and mad. she needs to be in for life.
I also cant believe that she has not gotten hurt in jail... they hate baby killers.

I do not think Yoselyn Ortega is insane or crazy. She is a resentful injustice collector who harbored grudges that go back to her childhood.

Nobody who is not pure evil could have tortured and murdered those two beautiful, 100% innocent children. Who trusted her.
Nobody except a purely evil person could have set the stage for a loving mother, to walk into such horror.

There just are no excuses. This woman was evil and jealous of this family.

JOSEYLEN ortega made a very horrible decision that night. And she absolutely followed through with her decision to destroy the children and their parents and the families lives forever
. She wanted to destroy their family, because, she was jealous of their life.
I call all of this evil.

Yes, there are Evil people.
For me, it just does not matter how evil people become evil.

That's for the experts.
I just do not care what inmate Ortega has endured. ABSOLUTELY nothing equals the murder of these innocent children and the harm to Mom and Dad.

The more I look at Yoselyn Ortega, the more I think she is a wound collector. Something I see in the likes of Jodi Arias, Lori Drew, Betty Broderick, Elliot Rodger, Chris Mercer, Adam Lanza, Vester Flanagan, Abdelhamid Abaaoud, etc.

Andrew Kehoe was a dangerous injustice collector. He and his wife were living in Bath, Michigan, and the year was 1927 when he committed the worst school massacre in U.S. history.

Kehoe, an electrician by training, had been a member of the local school board and a farmer. His work required that he interact with others in the community, but his interpersonal skills were lacking. He was known as someone who kept grudges and was rigid, demanding, self-righteous, and easily offended with real or imagined slights. Minor, inconsequential events made Kehoe angry, and he remembered them for a long time (Ellsworth 1927).

Acquaintances and neighbors of Kehoe described him as difficult to get along with. He was unpredictable, and, when he didn't like how someone treated him, his response was often inappropriate and harsh. For example, Mrs. Harte, a friend of Kehoe's wife, Nellie, reported that once a week she would drive Mrs. Kehoe back and forth to Lansing, MI, to shop because, at the time, the Kehoes had no car. Despite her generosity, when Mrs. Harte's family dog went missing near the Kehoe farm, Andrew Kehoe told Mrs. Harte that he had killed the animal because it was barking too much and it was a nuisance (Ellsworth 1927).

When Yoselyn Ortega was given more tasks by Marina and Kevin Krim, she saw it as an injustice to her. She is very obsessed about her suffering. People who knew her said she is a constant complainer.
