Good point. It may simply be for RL's protection. Very high profile case and again, he is innocent until proven guilty.

What's interesting is that I cannot recall the Indiana police ever giving definitive measurements on the man in the video still image (bridge guy). Using photographic analysis and comparing the time of day the video of the perp was likely taken, I think it's possible they could get an...

He does bear some resemblance. I must admit. But still-- innocent until proven guilty. Remember Richard Jewell.

Great point--- yes, the family of the two girls may very well be at this hearing. Hard to wrap my head around this case-- but darn it, looking at him being escorted into the court house he does look physically similar to the man in the still image. I'll still give him the benefit of the...

Agreed. It seems like he is getting some special attention from law enforcement. Just my impression. I wonder if police offered him a polygraph and whether he agreed to it or not.

Good question-- what time was RL brought to court? Even having Sheriff's deputies escorting him seems like it might be a deviation from protocol. When our arrestees are brought in, it's just the authorities who work in the jail who do the job.

Dunno man-- but I get the feeling the police may think they have "something" on him. Either he knows something or they are just keeping the pressure on him. The police can easily keep the proceedings confidential. They seem to want him in the public eye as much as possible. The...

Yes. But, this is for the arrestees who arrive early in the morning. They are for the morning court cases. They arrive in a van, handcuffed together and walk in a single file out of the van and into the courtroom. They then sit in the courtroom and wait their turn to stand up before the Judge.

Don't forget that everyone has their eyes on this case--- EVERYONE. The police chief, the lawmakers, the victim's families, the public and not to mention the media outlets that are covering this case. You better believe the police are going to be doing everything "By the Book" when it comes...

They may have a different procedure or set of protocols in that police department, but in my neck of the woods--- all of the arrestees who are going before a judge arrive in a large cargo van or similar vehicle. Rarely, do you see a single arrestee be given a ride by himself or herself.....like...

Respectfully disagree-- the best time to get an arrestee to talk in my experience is immediately after they are arrested. They are often still in a sort of shell shock. The longer it takes police to arrest or charge someone, the more the perp may realize the police don't have enough on him...

MOO, but if you want to get something rushed you can. You just have to pay for it. LE without a doubt can get DNA testing rushed especially if a known killer is still on the loose. Read between the lines here-- assuming RL gave a voluntary sample of his DNA via cheek swab and it was compared...

For a case such as this one, with such intense public interest and scrutiny-- you would think that this DNA test would go to the top of the priority list.

I really wish the authorities would issue the original photo to the media again--- that has been cleared up and made clearer via photographic enhancement technology. We've come a very long way since the advent of film cameras. I think the problem is that this still image is from video that is...

This perp is careful, extremely meticulous, patient and very experienced. Give it a bit and his "urges" will re-surface if they have not already. He may be using alcohol to control his post-offense stress. Any nearby liquor stores, grocery stores, bars in Delphi, Indiana? Gas...

I agree-- unless RL is a master chameleon and can hide his emotions and feelings. I would be shocked and surprised if he was the same person in the video still image. The last thing the perp would want is to grant interviews with the media so that his voice and face could be compared in x...

Didn't mean to make it sound funny. :shame: But it's good to be able to laugh a bit even though we are all focused on helping the family of the victims bring the perpetrator(s) to justice.

A nose that resembles a potato. Fat, thick and rounded. (convex versus concave)

I will say this--- based on what we can see in that video still image taken by one of the victims-- the perp has a potato nose. That potato nose is very different than RL's nose.
