What I don't understand, is if they are so insistent that she can breathe on her own, and her heart can beat on its own, why do they need the machines? I'm seeing this as a contradiction of their religious beliefs as well. If you believe God will save her or He knows best, turn off the...
I was wondering this too. I had mine out seven years ago, and they gave me one of those water ices with the wood "spoon". I remember being mad that the ice was so hard, I broke the spoon. :(
Good morning everyone. I've been following this case from the start, just realized there are threads here. :) I had a tonsillectomy at 26, and I had polyps removed from my sinuses at 27. When I was in the first stage recovery room, they gave me cherry water ice, so a popsicle isn't abnormal...
I'm so frustrated with the amount if misinformation that's out there. I made the mistake of reading the Facebook page, and wanted to bang my head against the wall. So many rumors and blatant untruths out there, and the media, once again, feeds the fire. I am so sad, I seriously feel that so...
I can't believe the first one missed it. He would have to be extremely incompetent. He dissected the neck. What about petechiae or purpura? I get petechiae on my face if I vomit, from the pressure. They're considered broken blood vessels, similar to a bruise, and can look purple. I also had...
Yes, but what I'm trying to get at is if the blood pooled prior to death, while the heart was still beating, would the blood pooling appear to be a bruise, vs after death, where it would be lividity? Meaning, would the appearance and tissue involvement be different?
That's what I was thinking too. I was actually surprised to see the blood pool on my patient like that, because she was still alive. I figured it was reduced cardiac output, the heart not pumping sufficiently. Strangely enough, the blood pooled low on her cheek, in the area of her chin.
I'm not a big fan of CNN either, at this point, especially after the TM case. My question is this: As far as the jaw bruising, I had a patient on hospice that the family didn't want me to turn every 2 hrs, which is standard for us to do. They said she already looked comfortable. Well, after...
I would think so. Also, the way I measured was arms straight up. If you pull your arms more inward, it may narrow your shoulder span more. I'll have to try that later. :)
Haven't posted in a while, but I thought I'd jump in with shoulder measurements. I had a friend measure my shoulder span with my arms at my sides, both raised, and one raised. My span with arms down was 16 in, both up 13 in, and one up about 14.5.
Okay, I was just discussing this with my mother, and I haven't found a definitive source yet, so it's just a theory. She said that Amanda may get re-tried without her being present, and found guilty. She said Amanda will never be extradited, but a guilty verdict will make sure she isn't able...
School girl outfit with spiderman underwear? Does she not see how contradicting that is? She's trying to say he's a pedophile, but they only go after boys or girls, idiot. I can't wait to see her get the needle.
