Canada - Sentry killed in War Memorial shooting, Ottawa, 22 Oct 2014

Here's something I think both Canada and the US should consider. Both the man in today's shooting and the man who ran over the soldier on Monday , had their passports revoked. The later was on his way to Syria to fight with Isis. I say , let them go. Why do we wasn't them here? Let them go with...

Canada - Sentry killed in War Memorial shooting, Ottawa, 22 Oct 2014

Something must have occurred to make them ease up on the lockdown and then reinstate it. I got the feeling from the reporter that it wasn't just Parliment, sounded like it was all of downtown. Are they blocking off roads in and out of city? Anyone know?

Well whoever this constable guy was,he clearly said,"three suspects". My impression was that they were all 3 at the War Memorial and one went to the Parliament and the others fled.

Now I'm totally confused. Shep Smith reporting that authorities are almost certain this was a lone wolf attack. He describes how the guy drove up in a car with no license plate, yet I heard a construction worker interviewed who said he saw a man carjack a vehicle, from someone driving by. Surely...

Canada - Sentry killed in War Memorial shooting, Ottawa, 22 Oct 2014

So I heard a man on Neil Cavuto just now. He was on the phone reporting from Ottawa. I don't recall his name but I believe he was a chief constable. Anyway he was describing to Neil what happened at the War Memorial and he spoke of 3 suspects. I'm still having trouble finding how many suspects...

Canada - Sentry killed in War Memorial shooting, Ottawa, 22 Oct 2014

Was anyone else shot except for at Parliment and War Memorial? How do they know there was/ is a shooting at Rideau Center? Did that shooter hit anyone? If shots were actually fired did the shooter just not hit anyone or was it police shooting at the perp? This part is very confusing.

Rideau Mall is also attached to a hotel, I believe it's a Westin. That whole area is very busy. They could have shot many people but clearly they were targeting soldiers or government officials.

Ebola outbreak - general thread #7

Asking about someone's travels is nothing new and helps Drs with a possable diagnosis. Many years ago after a car accident required me to have a chest X-ray, it was noted that I had enlarged lymph nodes. One of the questions was had I recently travel to San Joachin Valley in California...

Ebola outbreak - general thread #7

Was there ever a follow up on the person from Baylor that was being tested for Ebola? Also someone mentioned that Amber was doing well,do we know that for certain? Last thing I heard was she was stable. I know her family made a statement that they were not going to release information,but...

My interpretation is they are waiting on actual rest results. She met the criteria for someone who potentially may have ebola,so further testing had to be done. They seem to be keeping it under the radar though.

If there is any silver lining to this cloud, its that we see how unprepared we truelly are for even the smallest crisis. Hopefully these events in the last couple weeks will get us up to snuff and if something bigger comes down the pike we are ready.

Ebola outbreak - general thread #7

Maybe someone with medical background can explain this to me. Nina has been downgraded from good to fair. Is there a universal way a hospital evaluates someones status? Are their specified criteria or is it subjective? I thought the Drs in the presser were very vague as to why she was...
