Someone has placed quite a memorial for Ms. Huggy in the "Find-A-Grave" website: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=134435126&ref=acom The memorial indicates that Wendy was about two months pregnant at the time of her disappearance on 07 Apr 1982.

Totally off-topic, but the "establishments with coin-operated washing machines" that call themselves "coin laundry" always has me do a double-take, because why would you want to wash your pocket change?

No piped water would require that the water pan be filled quite frequently - even at night - when the cooler is running. We have a swamp cooled house here in the California desert, and it cools enough to need covers on the bed at night.

I don't know the start date for that backpack might be, but the reference I used was some guy's equipment review in 2000. I also found a used Cascade 65 (slightly smaller) on eBay that was sold in Jan 15, so they are still around.
