Do we know what prompted Cassie to start going to church? Seems an odd choice if her life was surrounded by drug use.

As far as HS & Cassie dating, I've wondered that myself, but so far no one has confirmed that, TS, JC, HS, friends, siblings, etc.

Of course, I still find it incredibly odd that Cassie was allowed to spend the night with HS (dating or not) by not only JC but also TS. Is this common with teens these days? I've honestly never heard of any parent allowing a member of the opposite sex do sleepovers.

The silence, the weeks turning into months, the lack of care and concern over Cassie (save the few locals) makes me angry.

Why did JC end things with BR? Why send the certified letter? What was the point of all of that? Does JC know something? Does BR know something? Were they both involved? Just one of them? Were they both under the influence of drugs and not sure what actually happened to Cassie?

Did something happen between Cassie and her girlfriends? They used to post on FB, did something come between them? Did Cassie being taken out of school cause the lack of closeness? Why aren't they posting about her being missing? Do they know? What have they been told?

And back to the nagging question that I ask all the time, why are there no pics of Cassie at the derby in Dewitt??????????

I don't mean to tar everyone with the same brush either (thank you, believe09, for the reminder not to do so)
But the reality is; there is a huge prescription med abuse situation going on in the area, as well as abuse of OTC meds for the purpose of creating illicit drugs, as well as flatout home grown drugs. All have the potential to influence behaviors.
This is (sadly) statistically recorded on multiple government websites over the last decade. Some clearly denoting increases in accidents or crimes.

You cannot buy certain decongestants at the Walmart in Stuttgart without asking for them specifically, and signing for them. A problem /issue we are dealing with nationwide and have been for quite some time.
But that weekend... what was Stuttgart and surrounding areas dealing with?

In that one sided txt that was 'reported'....CC and JC appear to have discussed CC's cough. Neither CC or JC seem to be feeling well.
Common cold? Or shared household exposure?
Just a thought.

Here's a theory - put yourself at 15. You are hormonal, but haven't yet really gone 'there' yet. You have a crush, and he does, but you're shy and a little scared. So in the middle of the night when everyone's asleep, the opportunity arises. You wanna, but you just can't do it. So after a bit of this and that you change your mind. But the other insists, and... well then that's that.

I ask you.... wouldn't you be quieter than usual. Distrusting of everyone around you. Not sure you want to go home because you know who will be driving. On the way home you have it out with the other. And the other freaks.

TS said HS said just BR. Someone else said it was a group, but I can't remember who. We'd have to dive through all the prior threads to find it. That sounds evil.

The "on the porch with friends" was a comment made on the KATV facebook page after the broadcast. SmallTownMomma found the comment, and was looking for confirmation, which apparently was never given.

I tried looking for posts to the KATV Facebook page on the dates that the story was aired , but that story and the comments are both gone.

And I'm not sure exactly how genuine TS is because JC has said numerous times that Cassie had only been out to their house a few times and only within the 3 weeks prior to her disappearance.

She only knew TS a short time. I think it was less a safe-haven, and more a crush on a boy. By her FB, it's obvious she was boy crazy. But a good girl.

If it helps on one of the interviews with TS she said that Cassie did not speak to them, hug them or talk to HS all the way home. I know she was texting JC but not sure why she was not speaking to the other family. Could this be anything?

It has actually been verified and corrected that BR did in fact go to the PD that evening and an officer took the statement. Another officer came to the home the next day to find out what was going on after being called by TS.

The officer confirmed that he rode his bicycle to the police station.

Just because a report wasn't filed doesn't mean he didn't go. Maybe they saw that crazy guy on a bike and just said anything to get him out of there.

My kid always ask me if I am home yet. Sometimes she text it to me from her room, and I am home!

I think if it was Cassie texting that is a normal thing to ask and nothing about it is odd except she is now missing . Not to take up for her home life or defend anyone but I do have a question about the actual last time Judy saw Cassie. What day was it she laid eyes on her ,because it seems to be it could very well been a while before CC went missing . Did she see her Friday? Or Tuesday? I have no idea.

SOUTHERN DIALECT -- I don't believe "him" is accurate transcription. I think TS meant "them" without the "th" on front. Like Texas football fans say, "Gig 'em, Aggies" or "Sic 'em, Bears." And the casual "He seen 'em get out" could be a her (still objective case of pronoun) meaning Cassie. (Incorrect use of pronouns is not that unusual in rural Arkansas.) (Th)em would make sense if a third party (male) rode back to Stuttgart in HS's truck because the girl would be sitting in the middle of the bench seat (it's a Chevy) and a guy by the door she exited would need to temporarily hop out.

eta-well I just don't about the 'seen'em' being used to describe one person though....& quickly recovered to Cassie..... would say you seen him, or you seen her...getting out IMHO

You know what I've been wondering about that whole clip? The change in language from 'truck' to 'vehicle.'

I know I've had to catch myself a few times, when making a statement about an event that I know occurred, but perhaps I'm not supposed to say anything about just yet. I've also known people to correct their statements to something that LE is advising them on correcting. And I've known people to correct themselves on wording when they are unsure of what the event actually was. AND I've known some people to correct wording when they are trying to distance from an event, or want to make sure they are distanced from an event.

I can understand TS adjusting that wording. But I do wonder, in the moment- why go from truck to vehicle specifically? Was that prompted? And if so...by who?

I'm no profiler, but I am a curious person by nature; and as a result curious about why that specific clarification was made during that interview.
