I'm not sure what a categorical, analytical response is, but here goes. I think she went to Mesa to offer him one last chance to take her back into his life--starting with the trip to Cancun. He was definitely trying to get her out of his life--hence the email from May 26 where he called her a...
I went back through the court minutes just to make sure I was remembering the first defense billing protective order. I was only able to find the request for keep the billing fees confidential. I will keep looking tomorrow. The defense claimed that if they were public, the state would be able...
It could be about defense fees, since Maricopa county just announced in the last couple of days that the defense bills are over $800,000. Maybe journalists are asking for details. I know that there was an earlier ruling that the details of the fees would not be released. There may be new...
Whatever people think of how Judge Stephens is running the courtroom, she is working like a dog. Go to Maricopa county superior court site and look up her schedule. She has hearings in the same room right up until JA's case starts. Everything she does in the courtroom requires background...
I don't know anything about Tesoro, but Walmart has had an incredibly detailed inventory system for years. They mine their own data for restocking and to predict future sales. They can predict how many packs of gum will be sold at a specific store on a particular afternoon. And iirc, the...
Who knows what JA thinks she is pulling over on the jury? She may have convinced herself that they are all under her spell.
I do take issue with the idea that Wilmott is participating in any of this. Although I think she is vastly underestimating Martinez and is not the greatest attorney...
I don't think so. She is going back and responding to every jury question with three questions of her own. I don't think we will see Martinez until Monday. Wilmott is so concerned about being right, she can't see that she is losing/lost the jury with this witness. She keeps bringing up his...
I think it was puny argument. JW may have won the "would the results be the same" issue, but the bigger thing is not only did JA lie on the test, she initially lied about being attacked by strangers in a home invasion, we now know that she perpetrated the entire gruesome murder. It's not the...
I think it is pre-planned--like reality tv. some producer thinks that it adds to the excitement. this show is a disaster. no one has more than a superficial grasp of what has happened during the trial. I think they started paying attention last week.
Lots of questions for a defense witness is a big red flag for the defense. Just like with JA, they had lots of questions that revealed that they really don't believe anything she is saying. If they were comfortable with what Samuels was saying they wouldn't have many questions.
I have been listening to the witnesses the state called at the beginning of the trial. Several people mentioned that the dog had pooped and peed all over the house--they initially thought that was the smell. I can understand that--who would initially think that someone was murdered. For...
