LA LA - Willard "Bill" Daspit Jr, 58, going to his camp 3 doors away, dirt bike & glasses found in wreck 100 yds from home, Coteau Holmes, 9 Sep 2023

My MIL lives about 90 seconds from the park where they are coordinating the search - so very close to where he went missing. It's woodsy and swampy and barely a "town". She has one neighbor across the bayou and one across the hwy, then you have to go a ways before you come to more houses. Very...

    LA - Ahlittia North, 6, abducted & murdered, Harvey, 13 July 2013

Noticed the news here has spelled her name Ahlittia and they pronounced the i-a at the end. So few clues I am still not even sure of her name.

I'd say its even probable. Everyone around here has surmised that he got his TWIC card to be able to hold an offshort position during that time actually - lots of work release programs provide labor for rigs...unusually unskilled positions from what I understand but I suppose it could transfer...

1999 was a busy year for BSL...I'm looking forward to the timeline of these events as well! At some point before the April rape we know about - there was another while he was at Ft Polk from what I understand? Then April he commits the offense he goes to jail for, July 1999 he murders Lisa...

Anyone in BR just see the WBRZ 10 news? They quoted BSL's ex wife - said she had been abused (specifically hit, smothered, sent to hospital, attacked at work) and that when she filed for divorce she also filed for a restraining order. Did not release her name I don't believe will try to find...

I cannot find it anywhere but I swear I read the truck had been 'stripped' - most thought this was to prove the truck was stolen...or perhaps it was stripped by someone actually robbing the truck where it was left, who knows. But youre right - someone in TX could be walking around with a cell...

Yes...thats how we know it was burned. :) Its in the press conference info and media links on first thread. Not much info on exactly where it was found though.

Not sure what you mean? I havent heard for sure that he was literally trying to pass it off anyway...but a Z71 is a Silverado...so it 'could' have been tried. Wonder how often he bought new vehicles otherwise. The stealth he had listed was the vehicle he was driving during...

I'm a local - just checking before I answer your question all wrong haha. what do you mean by 'out east past the bridge'? The Basin Bridge...like down I-10 on the Baton Rouge side? Or Whiskey Bay Bridge and you mean directly east of that spot? Whiskey Bay 'bridge' is really a part of the...

It was a company called North American Midway Entertainment I do believe...I do not see any events listed in or near Raleigh at all, or at least not anything recent. http://www.namidway.com/fairs-events/categoriesdetailed/archive

Yep - and sometimes it happens even when there ARE answers or when it IS obvious - look at the JFK conspiracy video that still floats around. People see a gun in the limo driver's hand when its really shadow and light bouncing off the passenger's hair. And you're right - not much has been...

It wasn't deleted because of you - TD doesnt have the same TOS as websleuths and no monitors to jump in to delete certain things - its a free for all. Someone was posting some pretty major cajunet rumor mill stuff and people felt like it may harm the investigation if true so they deleted that...

I don't think ACI is trying to run you off - or anyone else for that matter. The WT discussion has just been taking center stage and its become obvious LE doesnt care about the WT or at the least does not care about clarifying it for the public. We don't even know that it was within 3 minutes...

Everyone is emotional about it all, maybe thats part of the problem Im not sure. The rumor mill is going nuts around town but its been like that for days now and honestly I think if LE would just hold another presser to calm everyone down and either give a little info or reiterate the info we...

Exactly my thoughts! They don't 'owe' us evidence that would hurt their investigation but it is still odd that we have NO word from them for so long and they could be clearing some things up, giving out more truck details, etc - pleading for the community to still be looking at least. Its been...

Thank you!! I definitely missed that - and its what I was getting at earlier - if that spot was correct, then this all makes even less sense and has to be more complicated.

Good point - the bike 'could' sustain minimal damage, there 'could' be minimal blood loss - but its all unlikely together to equal a drunk driver/panicked/abduction scenario. My friend looked like he had scraped the pavement with his hand, otherwise looked like he was asleep without a thing...

A reporter on the scene that night said the bike was a little bit north of a camp road off State Rt 975 - I think I was the one who said "100 yards" - just a guesstimate and possibly not a good one. Tee news reports said things like "off the whiskey bay exit" then "near the whiskey bay bridge"...
