NY - Officer Daniel Pantaleo used deadly chokehold on Eric Garner, Staten Island, July 2014

Mark O'Mara pretty much said the opposite tonight on CNN, that people just should follow LEO's orders and not try to fight them. A lot of problems could be avoided that way (paraphrasing more or less).

In a statement obtained by NBC News, Louis Head, who is married to Brown's mother, apologized to those "who read my pain and anger as a true desire for what I want for our community. It wasn't." Authorities are considering whether to charge Head for inciting a riot. Angry crowds burned...

Even if the investigation into Head's comments doesn't result in charges, the police probe could still cause problems for him. Federal court records indicate he is on probation for a previous drug charge. CNN reached out to his probation officer, but there was no response to a request for...

But it gives a pretty good idea about direct flights from and to Europe and USA. I knew about direct flights from Amsterdam/NL to Houston, TX. Or Frankfurt/Germany to San Fransisco, CA. Some years ago, I fly from Basel/Switzerland directly to Los Angelos, CA. Those are just a few examples. On...

The way I understand it is that those viruses take on a life on their own. A human is not a good "host" for the virus as humans die after a few weeks (seems like 23 days in Mr. Duncan's case). On the other side, however, viruses can live a long time like in bats and I suppose, in other bush...

Can it spread through mosquitoes? There is no evidence to support this. Humans, bats, monkeys and apes have the ability to spread the Ebola virus, but evidence so far indicates that mosquitoes and other insects can’t transmit it...

This made me sad. IMO, there was no reason to put this poor dog down. Many people in Madrid were protesting against the euthanizing of this dog and many people signed the petition. They did it anyway. :( CNN) -- More than 330,000 people have signed a petition on Change.org to save Ebola...

Ebola outbreak - general thread #3

I don't know if the bats get Ebola-infected by eating mosquitoes. I do know that Malaria if wide-spread in Africa and it's transmitted by mosquitoes. IMO, it's very possible that many people living in West Africa (and other countries in Africa) could get bitten by malaria-infected mosquitoes...
