A persimmon tree large enough to hang a person in is already close to the end of it's natural lifespan, as they only live about 75 years, and this was close to 50 years ago....so even if left undisturbed the tree would likely have run it's course by now.- pass-thru

They thought the remains were found less than a year after death. The condition of the clothing is remarkable after 26 years in the elements. I wonder if she was initially buried in a crawl space or basement, then relocated years later to the location where found, maybe due to the killer...- pass-thru

The funeral home would not be at liberty to discuss any burial information with anybody not in law enforcement due to privacy concerns. State law enforcement officers need permission to investigate in a different jurisdiction and especially in a different state. I don't know but suspect that is...- pass-thru

The "inevitable" argument is a stretch....the legal hoops of those other sites require a court order....on what evidence would a court order have been given? What if JJD's relative hadn't submitted to those sites? Regardless, it is a moot point. JJD's DNA was not seized from GEDmatch...- pass-thru

Inconjuction with the grade school notes, it's just too far fetched to think he ran around with these documents and then accidentally lost them. What purpose would it have served to carry them?
