Say this isn't a coincidence. Could the DNA profile and <modsnip> be linked, without Macro having enough to effect an arrest. In other words, could they have found a vague match (or a close match) but not enough to arrest, or is a vague DNA match enough etc. I don't know how this works.

What are people's views on whether the CSK is someone who has been even slightly suspected publicly of these crimes, or whether it is someone that has not been discussed on this or other forums. For me, I think the odds would be pretty much even: 1.90 we have discussed him, 1.90 we haven't.

When are you suggesting such a change in the status of Sarah Spiers on the website occurred? Recently? Such a change would be deliberate - what could prompt it?

But I've read some unconfirmed reports he was not in Perth in the mid 1990s. I've read other reports saying he was incarcerated. Does anyone know for sure? If he was in Perth when the three women were killed, he would be close to my main suspect. Unless the police have DNA - then he wouldn't be.

Can anyone confirm, once and for all, whether Donald Morey was in Claremont in the mid 1990s? He is a frightening and dangerous man, from what I've read.

Additional resources recently assigned to Macro task force? That's an excellent sign. So too is the increased media coverage of these murders over the last year. I think word is slowly leaking out that there is an unprecedented impetus behind the investigation now.

Thanks. I'm hopeful it is solved this year.

The Channel 10 video is not working for me. Is anything new covered or interesting discussed?

I sense, and this is purely a gut-feel based pretty much solely on the articles that have been released over the last 6 months and recent talk about the case, the CSK murders are close to being solved.

A general article covering the murders, from 3 days ago (http://www.huffingtonpost.com.au/2016/01/08/murder-perth-claremont_n_8936806.html). It mentions the possibility of someone from the SAS or armed forces being able to have committed these murders. It mentions that Campbell Barracks is...

    Australia Claremont Serial Killer, 1996 - 1997, Perth, Western Australia - #3

I think it is more likely than not that the CSK was involved in at least one, but maybe two or all, of the following: the attack that occurred on New Year's Day in 1994, where a man dragged a woman from her car after she left the Club Bayview and attempted to rape her, before she fought back and...

Damn, so the last sighting of Ciara Glennon next to a white Holden is actually now pretty much certainly her talking to her killer(s).

For some of the reasons outlined by Bartholemeus above, I don't believe the police have DNA of the CSK. However, if they do - what are some reasons people can think of that would prevent the police from revealing this fact. I know that Police Chiefs have revealed that they have the DNA of as yet...

    Australia Claremont Serial Killer, 1996 - 1997, Perth, Western Australia - #2

I've always suspected Judoman as the most likely of the publicly-known suspects to be the killer, and the reports today strengthen my view. The 'blitz attack' theory, mentioned earlier this year by the media as the place the police had turned their attention to, is the method the killer most...

Man killed himself, allegedly left a suicide note confessing to certain crimes. Police have looked into links between him and the Claremont murders, but have not found any so far. Article: http://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-10-10/appeal-for-info-on-former-navy-sailor-linked-to-murder-case/6843802

If Sutton's reasoning is correct, and I think it is, unless the program was loose with its wording, this means that Judoman was probably looking to kill (i.e. following women in his car) again before he was noticed by the police and questioned. It's frightening to consider that Judoman was...

    Australia Claremont Serial Killer, 1996 - 1997, Perth, Western Australia - #2

That's interesting reasoning Sutton. I hadn't thought of that but it seems likely from the passage you pointed out that Judoman was initially investigated because of following cars. I just don't know what to think - there are compelling reasons to suspect guilt of a number of suspects based on...

    Australia Claremont Serial Killer, 1996 - 1997, Perth, Western Australia - #2

Compelling, well-written stuff. Echoes a lot of what I think about the case. But I don't think it's fair to rate Judoman at 0%. There is obviously information available to the police and not us that is sufficient for them to manufacture and air a documentary that at least in part has at its...

So the police force promise new things by the end of the year. Could it be possible that they are still establishing a DNA profile of the killer, meaning the DNA samples they have won't have even become useful yet? What do people think?
