Hi guys just following this thread now as I, like many others, have watched the documentary. I was only 9 when this murder happened and don’t remember it at all. I cannot believe Luke was found guilty. From what I’ve read the standard of proof does not meet “beyond all reasonable doubt”!

Not necessarily. It could be that his argument is that his sentence is too high. They will probably look in to previous murder/rape cases of children and the sentences handed out in those. If the sentences are lower then that would be a basis for an appeal. A lot of Scottish cases follow...
