I would imagine that the black SUV would be the more likely vehicle involved. If I was going to commit a crime I would pick a standard black SUV over a stand out red or orange sports car.
I think only 3 theories really make sense here given what we know.
1) That Jayme was targeted to be abducted most probably by someone the family knew or had come across before (knew the father was coming home at midnight etc). Sadly if this is the case she is more than likely already dead, as...

I just think they would have found forensic proof by now since they searched his van and home and other places associated with him.
Hopefully the inquest brings about a result like in the Morecombe case.
I think they may have a semi strong/reasonable circumstantial case against a POI and this reward is to get a witness/whistleblower to go along with what they already have so they can possibly find the body/or William if alive and take it to trial. Just a theory.
