Looks like a match to me. There is a "puffiness" (for lack of a better word) that goes down from the bridge of the nose and under the eyes of both girls. Also, both girls have the same distinct tip of the nose / nostril area. Many similarities. Excellent find, Mr. E.

Thanks for the quick response, Carl. It would appear that Laureen is not our JD. The article that you posted certainly demonstrated how CODIS works. One can only hope that LE catches more of these perpetrators on unrelated offenses so that the database can be expanded and more matches made.

Goodness! They do look very similar. Laureen had dental work, and JD's report states that her teeth were well cared for. There is a bit of a discrepancy regarding the necklace, as one was gold and the other silver, but that is not enough for a rule out, especially considering the time lapse...

Not to be crass, but three suitcases would also "lighten the load", so to speak, making it easier to dispose of the luggage from the bridge. Like you, Laura_Bean, I believe that the reason for dismemberment was to make disposal easier.

I was struck by how much she looked like Kara as well! I am relieved that others also think that this might be her. Thank goodness someone has alerted her family. My prayers are that they have found Kara at last!

She is the splitting image of Kara Kopetsky to me. A little heavier, but those features are spot on. I hope that Kara's team looks into this girl and her story.
